Death of Destiny - Too Many Last Straws To Count

We've all seen it coming. Solo players are becoming pushed to be a thing of the past. The RNG has never been fixed. Bad connections are ruining Crucible and destroying Trials. Game changes that make no sense. A new expansion or update that makes everything prior useless and unnecessary. Whether Bungie is aware of it or not, their 10-year project may be dead before it even reaches two. Destiny is slowly becoming the next WoW, and not in the good way. Their players base is dropping, and it isn't just their regular players. Long-time players, faithful players and sought-after players are all slowly leaving. I'm quite sure they will notice a drop this weekend. Those who know understand this. Also, if Bungie doesn't do something big, and quick, when March comes, the noticeable drop may never come back up. I thought, or rather I hoped, that Iron Banner may deter the inevitable, but alas I was wrong. I'm one of those players who can have all three characters to Rank 5 before the weekend. This time, however, I'm not putting in anymore effort. Iron Banner Control was a staple. Iron Banner Clash had its ups and downs. Iron Banner Rift can almost not be done by single players, especially with randoms. It is either you are on a team with people who understand the game, or you're unlucky enough to get people who never go for the spark. Plus, there's the assigned sides of the map, which almost guarantees spawn killing. I, personally, do not do it, because it shows either a lack of skill or too much time engrossed trying to do nothing but cheat. Being unfortunately handed the situation I currently have, I have given Destiny between 4000 to 5000 hours since launch. I am a sought-after player because of my skill and patience with others. I have over 100 friends that I have gained through Destiny. Unfortunately, for Bungie, 75% of them, including myself, have all preordered the March competition already. I wish, wholeheartedly, that Destiny comes back strong, however with the way things are going, I really don't see that happening.

  • Why does everyone complain. I bought the game and it's fun. I do Nightfall and Trials every week on my one character and do PvP the rest of the time. Maybe just because I have 1 character and don't play 10 hours a day I enjoy the game more. I'm not worried about being light level 320, I just play what I enjoy so the game isn't a grind. I'm just assuming the less you play the more fun it is. The small expansions last me awhile since the majority of my playing time is on weekends and I rarely play on weekdays. I agree they can work on lag and dedicated servers and what not, but for now the game is fun and I don't feel like I'm wasting my money.

  • Things won't change man. They will continue to go in a downward spiral. I too pre ordered the division, not to stick it to bungie, but for somthing new and fresh. People that continue to play destiny are running on hamster wheels.
