So let's get this out of the way. I'm not salty nor am I calling for a nerf.
Okay since that's out of the way, sniping here takes no skill. You may (of course many of you) will say "it's totally skilled, jus adapt scrub!" Or try and bring up kd and of course I really won't give two shits.
Now I've noticed that snipers haven't been touched since day 1, yet there's now a problem with them now. Of course it was skillful compared to shotgunning *cough* I mean scrubgunning.
If you want to say sniping takes skill on here then you're delusional. It's simply point, aim, blap, then headshot. When compared to sniping in games where it factors in the bullet drop, leading your target, and zero in your scope.
That, ladies and scrubs takes skill if not a lot of skill. Of course I know many of you will disagree, say things that are not relevant to the topic, and of course try to rebuttal my statement.

Your Trials kd proves you wrong.
-
They obviously need to be skilled enough to know how a controller works. So you have to at least give them that much.
-
those other sniping games actually have maps that reward sniping. Regardless, snipers are probably the most skilled special weapon. Sidearms are meh, they're tough to judge. But I wouldn't say they take skill.

2 RespostasYou have a shotgun equipped on all of your characters.
-
I'm having a hard time disagreeing with you OP

Editado por Swiftlock: 1/21/2016 1:03:39 AMEven for a bait thread, this is silly. Snipers won't suddenly make a bad player successful.
-
If youre not taking the piss youre the most ignorant dude on the forums ive ever seen.
-
3 RespostasIt takes skill unless you have hidden hand, max stability, and unflinching.
Ive seen that kind of sniper. I'm no expert but I'm 99% sure that's a scrub roll.
-
2 RespostasYou clearly have no anus. None whatsoever.
-
If all the reason you give like bullet drop and leading targets to shots was indeed added to destiny snipers would not move ever, this would annoy you alot more i believe.
-
I mean I guess some other games make sniping more realistic and challenging But not a lot

31 RespostasShotgun kid thinks he's good. lmao.

1 ResponderSo I'm guessing you think getting a medical doctorate is as easy as " woop, primary school , secondary, college , doctorate , easy peasy !" Learn to make actual arguments . Its not as easy as point and shoot . You're reticle has to be right on the head of a moving target , and with all the blink and skating and sliding and shadestepping etc in this game , its not as easy as it sounds . Unless of course , you're fighting against the majority who literally just run around corners and complain when they get shot . Then its easy . So maybe , next time , slide around corners
-
Okay it takes no skill, but what's your point exactly?
-
It takes no skill in destiny that's for sure. It's all quick scoping and drag scoping because the aimer slow down is ridiculous. Practically comes to a dead stop on their target while drag scoping with a 55-75 AA sniper
-
3 RespostasSniping in this game takes less skill than in other games. This is not breaking news. I figured this out on release.
-
They have been touched Remember the perk where the last shot does more damage. That was taken aware. I think everyone is going to with sniping except the the zooming. I think if you get shot you lose the zoom. I forgot the term for it. But I thing the damage and aim assist is just fine.
-
Sniping doesn't take skill anymore.
-
3 Respostas>mtashed tells everyone how bungie explained more flinch was added >everyone calls mtashed a scrub >nerf snipers posts continue
-
You are trash and that's final
-
Use the No land beyond to snipe and in CQC then you know that takes skill. It's actually quite hard with the long reload time if you don't know how to cancel the reload time for quicker shots.
-
5 Respostas"Snipers haven't been touched." Final round was nerfed, they increased the flinch and decreased aim assist.
-
4 RespostasNeither does shotgunning using a primary, using a heavy, using melee, using grenades, using throwing knives, running, jumping, wearing armour or playing the fukin game. So shut up
-
Uh..m I am going to offer a dissenting view on this subject. Strictly speaking, Sniping in PvP takes a different value of player skill than traditional gameplay. To be an effective sniper in PvP, you need a certain degree of reaction speed and awareness. Players who lack rapid reaction speed (like myself) will not be able to snipe anyone in PvP regardless of what sniper they use. Even the revered/reviled 1000 Yard Stare won't make a player with low reaction speed into a successful sniper. Simply because something requires a different skill set to be successful doesn't make it not take skill. I will never be a good PvP sniper because my skill set bars me from becoming one.

3 Respostas
and zero in your scope.
Name one game where this is a thing. Also aim, then headshot? That easy? Well shit, guess your right. Sniping takes no skill. In fact, most games use the same no-skilled aim and shoot/headshot mechanic. This is why I only play Fallout 4 and build settlements. That's what the pros do.
