Sniping takes no skill. Prove me wrong
So let's get this out of the way. I'm not salty nor am I calling for a nerf.
Okay since that's out of the way, sniping here takes no skill. You may (of course many of you) will say "it's totally skilled, jus adapt scrub!" Or try and bring up kd and of course I really won't give two shits.
Now I've noticed that snipers haven't been touched since day 1, yet there's now a problem with them now. Of course it was skillful compared to shotgunning *cough* I mean scrubgunning.
If you want to say sniping takes skill on here then you're delusional. It's simply point, aim, blap, then headshot. When compared to sniping in games where it factors in the bullet drop, leading your target, and zero in your scope.
That, ladies and scrubs takes skill if not a lot of skill. Of course I know many of you will disagree, say things that are not relevant to the topic, and of course try to rebuttal my statement.

It takes skill because you aren't sniping in a void against CPUs. It doesn't matter if sniping in destiny was the easiest thing that has ever existed in a video game ever (which i don't agree with but suppose that it is), you have to execute this simple action FASTER and more accurately than your enemy who is also trying to do the exact same easy thing. The skill isn't really ever in the difficulty of the action, skill is always relative. So yes, sniping an npc that isn't shooting you takes no skill, but sniping someone trying to snipe you takes skill. If nothing in this game took skill then most gun fights would end in draws and everyone would have around a 1 kd.

1 ResponderSo you are a saying that a filthy casual that picks up a sniper rifle for the first time, will out snipe me as long as he aims. You are so wrong. EVERYTHING in video games take skill. Watch any good Halo, CoD or Destiny montage and you will be amazed by how easy the player makes sniping look. There is so much you do not realize about what makes a skilled player/sniper: map awareness, positioning, etc. Cmon man dont be so ignorant.

You won't beat a sniper with your Conspiracy Theory, Invective, Felwinters, Patch A or whatever shotgun you use. Flank or avoid particular areas. If snipers take no skill then maybe try and combat a sniper using a sniper. Also if a sniper is already hard scoping an area in your trajectory, don't try and snipe him if you arent ready to take a shot. He'll get you before you can press the aim button as he already has your teeny tiny head lined up whereas you haven't even pressed L2 to bring up your scope. Takes more common sense than anything else just like it takes common sense to run away if a guy is lagging all over your screen and has absorbed every bullet you have shot rather than continuing to pummel him with more bullets until [b]your[/b] inevitable death.

Tbh here the only sniper that actually had some skill was her benevelance..i believe how its is spelled..but the one sniper that absolutely take no skill is that NLB i get no scoped across map all the time lol ...but thats just me lol

1 ResponderIt takes skill, although very little skill. You first have to hold down L2 and wiggle the right analog stick around until you see something moving, then you press R2 to pop the Mother-bleep- in the head. So yes it takes some skill.

It doesn't take skill to pull the trigger on a shotgun but it does take skill to get yourself into a position where you can get a kill without getting killed at the same time. Also it is hard just to move around the map and not get sniped.

It wasn't released in the actual update overview, but in many q+a's bungie and the devs have stated that snipers flinch more and their aim assist isn't as potent as it once was. Which means it's harder to shoot while getting hit (but still possible if you're used to it), and the sight won't stick to the target as much (even though it barely does on even the highest aim assist snipers now). I'm sorry that you think knowing how high head level is on every inch of the map, and being able to have the reaction time and thumb skill to snap to a target and correct your scope misplacement requires no skill. Edit: nice shotguns you have there, no wonder you made this post. Shotguns aren't broken anymore and you're stuck in the dust trying to kill someone one shot at mid range then getting domed by someone laughing behind a sniper scope.

Why can't I get my well calculated head shots through 3 walls when I cannot even see my target with an AP sniper anymore? If they weren't touched I would still be using them for those shots all the time.

Position yourself as far away as you can from a central location. Pick people off who are engaged in firefights with others. Theyll never see you coming. Cant even defend themselves from you. Easy pickins Esp. If already wounded. Arm. Leg. Pinky toe. Doesn't matter where just BANG!!!! 1 shot shazaaam. Be a bringer of death.

In 2.0 the aim assist was reduced and more flinch was added. Just inform yourself before talking random bullshit you salty scrubgunner.

One there is no auto aim in destiny and I don't care what you say and the freak cares like honest the reason why your mad about sniping is that you can't snipe and then you get sniped so stop your crying and actually get good
