It's like the yugioh of pvp. They keep "rebalancing" it to keep it fresh, and it just introduces different power creep. Even as someone that has only played for 2 months I see it.
That's not to say I don't enjoy it though. I am horrible at this game still, but I really enjoy it.

Long story short, we bought 10,000 cards for $10 last summer. So the kids and I play when the weather keeps us indoors. We looked at playing with some locals, but they all ended up being weirdos that would spend hundreds of dollars on decks that would be irrelevant in the next meta.

My kids are really good tbh, but I don't have the cash to buy them relevant decks. My son can stack effects well enough I haven't won a game in months. If it were a viable hobby I would spend the money, but it costs hundreds every few months just to be semi competitive
