And once again there was a gun class significantly more powerful than the others...
95% of players I played against we're using the hawksaw, red death, and any other pulse rifle. Conspiracy theory or the raid shotgun. And quilims terminus.
When it comes to the Iron Banner and the Crucible itself, what's the purpose of any other weapon (not a pulse rifle)?
They already made year one weapons obsolete, and implement a system in the iron banner where not using a new year two weapon will most definitely put you at a major disadvantage.
Now I'm not whining for a nerf. But good lord, I hate feeling pressured to use a specific gun class let alone a certain gun...just to stand a chance in the IB.
R.I.P. MIDA.
I mean who wouldn't find the IB unworthy of the grind?
And what do we get? 280 rewards even at the vendor. Trials better offer 300 light gear, at least.
Anybody feel the same?

1 ResponderThere are scout rifles with the same stats as mida, I use in fact... and they trash the red death because of versatility
-
2 RespostasI would say there range is the only thing wrong with PR. But I used a scout and ar. With a pistol or shotgun and a rocket.
-
Scouts hawkmoons and suros were mainly what I was playing against very few had decent pulse rifles that were able to shoot anything
-
Hung jury ruled a lot of matches, as well as a smattering of Hawkmoon and Monte Carlo.
-
I saw a ton of scout rifles and hawkmoon.
-
I uae Hawkmoon and a fusion rifle and I am constantly on the top of my team. Pulse rifles arent even that big of a deal.
-
I mainly used hung jury scout and zhalo supercell on my lock with susanoo fusion secondary, ace of spades and stillpiercer/strongbow d on my hunter and tuonela scout/immobius for titan for heavy I was mainly using swords. I was seeing mainly hawkmoon, bad juju and red death on opposing players though and of course many conspiracy theory ds as secondaries
-
Did really well with Ace and Hawkmoon.
-
Got to rank 5 with hawkmoon and a bit of Zhalo so can't say I agree with that
-
I feel it's situational. In a map like twilight gap I prefer to use my zhalo. When I'm on vertigo I like to switch to my red death. Since you can basically only use scouts and pulses for long range maps it makes more sense to use the weapon that has more dps.
-
Honestly, pulse rifles are about perfect. The only thing id say, is that they need a tad less range. What your noticing is a testament to how bad bungie is at balancing weapons. They are the new meta for the simple fact that autos and HCs were over nerfed and then under buffed. I should mention scouts as well. There's not much you can do with them. If you buff them, they will be over powered because of their range. To me they are in a perfect spot. My only complaint is the lack of archetype variants available from vendors. To many VoC variants available, which have the highest TTK in PvP. I'd like to see some Mida and Luna archetype available.

You can use a yr one primary in IB if your other gear is high enough to compensate.
-
If you can use a gun properly and hit your mark everytime you shouldnt be having a problem. Red death, hawksaw, and all that bullshit are just the guns scrubs use. Jump around, put them off balance and it will be like an idiot trying to swat a fly. He might get a lucky shot but you will be safe. Dont complain about a gun. Not everyone is a professional in pvp using pulse rifles. Most are sheep who follow a trend until they fall off the cliff
-
I used boolean gemini, bad juju, tlaloc, and supercell. I must say bad juju was the most reliable. I would inly be able to win using boolean against shitty teams.
-
Pshh my Suros dis-45 does more work.
-
hperbolic statement is hyperbolic. I won a majority of my IB matches being the top player and I was using scouts.

Editado por FH2actual: 10/19/2015 10:00:38 PMYeah, once I bought the IB pulse rifle, went in and actually didn't lose every gun fight. It's Pulse Rifle or GTFO. Rank 1-5 and all I got for my aches and pains was my Titan Mark. I had to buy anything else. Worst loot rolls from any IB I've ever played. I saw seas of blues and maybe every third game someone would get a legendary. More often then not there would be a fair few people on my teams who got nothing at all. What incentive? Where?
-
Someone doesn't understand Meta.
-
I used tlaloc and hawkmoon had no trouble
-
Also got owned several games by the exotic scout and one of the legendary autos.
-
I've been using a variety between villainy and Monte Carlo. Sniper and shotgun. (1000 yd stare and the exotic sniper, conspiracy D and invective) Didn't like the the hawksaw personally. I like a slightly slower, higher impact pulse rifle. My villainy feels like the strangers rifle, which I liked.
-
Yeah they should really not allow any legendaries to have max of any stat.
-
Had my best runs with hawkmoon
-
Used Treads on Stars with PVE perks(firefly/crowd control) and maintained a 1.50+ K/D.
-
I liked pulse before they were "in" but up until recently mostly used Scout for PVP - specifically Gheleon's Demise This IB I gave it a go with Red Death, my son was tearing it up with Suros - totally different play styles - just depends on what works for you I've been saying this since the game came out - all the maps are essentially the same playable size so whenever something gets nerfed, it doesn't take long for something else to take over, especially in IB where the control points force CQC

I had lots of fun with jade rabbit / sidearm..
