Just to clear the air. I'm a Sunbreaker main. I hope HoS does not gets nerfed (I'd love that actually). But the fact is, eventually Bungie will turn our direction with the nerf bat and swing away. I'd rather offer suggestions than hope they don't castrate Sunbreakers.
Here's my theory on how to balance HoS without a neutering it:
Forgemaster: When Hammer of Sol is active, Titans have reduced Agility and Lift (or alternatively, reduced damage reduction).
Suncharge: Hammers consume more super energy, Suncharge consumes less super energy.
Fire Keeper: Hammers consume considerably less super energy when standing in a Sunspot.
1. Titans will be slightly easier targets with Forgemaster, but that's the trade off for having extra hammers. Risk vs Reward.
2. Suncharge will be viable choice, but emphasizes Suncharging in close proximity over throwing hammers. Risk vs Reward.
3. Sunspots (Scorched Earth/Fire Keeper) get a much needed buff. 2-3 more hammers than Forgemaster and an overshield, but at the cost of being limited to Sunspots for maximum effectiveness. Risk vs Reward.
TL;DR - More hammers, but be an easier target. Or be a tougher target, but have less hammers.
Edit 1: No longer applicable
Edit 2: Additional tags
Edit 3: Clarifying some stuff up front to help those who don't read the entire post
Edit 4: Added suggested buff to Fire Keeper. Currently, Forge Master in itself nets more hammers than the Scorched Earth/Fire Keeper combo.
Edit 5: 600+ replies and trending, keep it up guys!
Edit 6: 800+ replies!!! Added a note up top since people read 'no double jump' and freak out.
Edit 7: Simplified the entire post and made it shorter. Also limited mobility limitation to just the Forgemaster talent and a change to Suncharging to emphasize Suncharge over throwing hammers. This distinctly separates the 3 builds from each other and helps address some things you guys had issues with.
Edit 8: 1000+ replies!!! Also fixed some grammar
Edit 9: 1200+ replies :) by popular demand, added an alternative change to Forgemaster
Alternatively, people could stop whining like little girls and get on with it!

13 RespostasHere's an even better fix: 5 hammers max, 1/2 the damage reduction and no area of effect.

I have no other problem with sunbreaker other than the armor. It's a super let them destroy. Yet if I get the jump on you and put an entire clip into ur head with hacksaw u should go down.
-
1 ResponderSunbreakers really arent that hard to kill. They are alot easier than a stormcaller. I charged a Sunbreaker to his face with Invective, he got me, I got him. They arent that broken.
-
This is a dumb suggestion, why should sunbreakers be the only super to be adversely effected by perks of their super? Don't single out sunbreaker for stupid nerfs just because you are salty about dying to one.
-
21 RespostasWeird, Titans had the worst (PVP) classes ever & once we get a half decent class (compared to the hunter & warlock) everyone thinks it's "OP".. Didn't see titans complaining to much about blade dancer & void bomb...hmm
-
How to fix Sunbreakers; Shoot them in the head with a sniper and pistol whip their arse.
-
1 ResponderI think they should just get the armor reduction then it won't be underpowered or overpowered
-
6 RespostasWhen you realize that sunbreakers give most of the passive abilities to have a great super, it does even things out a bit
-
14 RespostasIt's a super, you've got 3-6 players on your team, if they didn't waste their supers then they should be able to stop the Titan. Don't let the Titan destroy your whole team to get his super up in the first place, lol
-
Or they could simply lower our armor whilst in super, then change cauterize to apply an over shield on first kill for a short period instead of health regeneration. That way it would hopefully be balanced for both pvp and pve.
-
3 RespostasActually u should just remove cauterise. Thats it. Nothing else. Btw i can avoid HoS really easily. Titans are slow so if u hear the super u can easily avoid it
-
Just hit the health to a sunsinger level and it will be good. don't have to do anything other than that. even with a flame shield a sunsinger can be taken out with a high impact head shot from a sniper. that should be the same for the sunbreaker. don't have to take cauterize away or the health regen, just take the health stat down to the sunsinger's level. everyone "should" be good with that. I hate titans but I'm not for ruining a good super, just hit the health and it will be balanced.

This and a

small

armor reduction will put them in line with other roaming supers.

Editado por amandajc808: 10/17/2015 10:36:20 AMI use defender on my titan in pvp. Sunbreaker for me is OK, but prefer defender, I think if you nerf Sunbreaker them stormcaller would also need nerfing. i really don't see the point
-
Yeah I said something similar make hammer mode make the Titan go slow unless you spec agility which would make you vulnerable
-
Fair enough
-
My speed :(
-
I feel like the best way to balance everything is to just buff the other supers to counter HoS. Since all the other supers already counter each other. I don't see much of a point to nerf HoS.
-
Editado por freesupport: 10/17/2015 2:27:00 AMI used to use Forgemaster and cauterize in pvp. But now I run scorched earth and fire keeper. I love the over shields. I feel like I'm doing more damage due to the fire ticks. I throw hammers at my feet people, die to my sunspots. I've gotten so many postmortems. I run this pve as well.
-
the fix was giving hunters unlimited super
-
I use simmering flames on my build I love having the faster grenades. Expecially in pvp
-
1 Responderthere is a much faster solution that i have found from talking to my PvP friends and it all comes down to stopping the skill that makes them regen health on fire skill kills (but only disable this for PvP not PvE or the class will be neutered hard)
-
1 ResponderEditado por pinkpanda: 10/16/2015 11:39:59 PMEasiest fix is nerf cauterize. They will be much easier to take down. It's the hp regen off of kills that makes them a monster to deal with
