For all of you other PvP players out there, I have some questions:
1) How much is light level going to effect damage & defense in Iron Banner and Trials?
2) Some gear has increased armor against an element, does that factor in PvP?
3) Which guns will you be using in Trials?
4) Intellect, Discipline, or Strength for Trials?
5) How do you think Bungie did with year 2 weapons? What do they need to look into more?
-
9 Respostas1.) I think of it on a a scale like this. 10 ligh = 1 level (31 being highest) so as long as your within about 30 light there shouldn't to much of a difference 2.) I believe it should affect that as well but can't be entirely sure as a lot of weapons initial damage factors in anyway 3.) primary: bad juju (dem supers doh) Secondary: shotgun (unoriginal but whatever) Heavy: Lmg (maybe rocket if taikonaut is equipped) 4.) intellect and discipline unless your a warlock otherwise a combination of the three 5.) still feel like ARs aren't hitting hard enough to be on par with other primaries (RIP HCs)
-
I went down to 280 light not noticing a difference.
-
I'm on 300 discipline and 255 intellect. 0 strength. Grenades every 25 seconds, and I go for double knife.

Ask a REAL competitive pvp'er and they'll say:
Destiny isn't competitive.
-
3 RespostasBrooo, I'm a member of your clan. Just have my other clan tag on right now. Lol.
-
4 RespostasTouch of malice since the perk will work
-
8 Respostasi guess lightlevel is linked, so when you are above 270 light with your 170 sniper it will still one shot headshot. but you could do more dmg and have more defense with 300 light of course ..
-
1 ResponderLots of bad info here; Lvl 34 was 170 light -> 5 light per level. This also checks out with damage rebuff vs higher light enemies. If the enemy is 5 light higher, you should be doing 30% less dmg (PVE)
-
2 RespostasLol this guy.... talk about a kid that wants to ensure he has the "competitive" edge.
-
1. I have no idea but my guess is not much.. 2. I'm sure but only by a tiny bit.. worth using with a lower armor stat maybe? 3. Hawksaw - 1000 yard stare - Y2 Ash Factory 4. Intellect/discipline because I plan on running bladedancer and I use the perk to cool down my melee 5. I think the weapon balancing year 2 is decent pulse rifles kinda rule the meta
-
I compete. But I don't win lol

4 RespostasIs there really a competitive pvp class on destiny though

Editado por Apex of War: 10/13/2015 10:19:20 AM1. My guess is 20 light level = 1 level differential (310 is the old 34, 290 is the old 33, 270 is the old 32, etc), but it's just a guess. 2. I have no clue, maybe see if anyone has tested this on YouTube. 3. Hawkmoon, 1000 YS, Ceres Lost (DO Launcher) 4. Discipline > Intellect > Strength 5. Great job so far, pulse rifles are a notch above the rest, but not to the degree of OP weapons of the past.
-
1 Responder1. I have no idea 2. Yes it does 3. Raid pulse, 1000 yard stare and sleeper simulant 4. Discipline, gotta get me some supressor nades faster 5. Good for the most part, aside from a few issues like shotguns that they are probbably going to fix

3 RespostasEditado por xLinGau: 10/13/2015 5:04:08 AMFrom what I heard previously each light level is like a 1.2% dmg/Def buff obviously it would cap somewhere as they are going to be letting 251 lights into trials. The Armor buff should work but it is probably as minimal difference as the Ram helm after nerf, but none the less may help you win a few gun fights. Red Death and hawkmoon will be popular even though many legendary pulses are better than Red Death due to range and bad stability. Year 2.0 is way more balanced than year 1 and we will see much more variety, not just TLW and Thorn. IM SO EXCITED!!! Oh and Max Intellect for sure, then if you want grenades a lot do discipline and if you punch a lot do strength.
-
Pvp sucks now IMO. Slow time to kill weapons make everybody run away when they got shot first and hard scope doorways all game. It's all manipulating high aim assist snipers.
-
You can look at my hunter and see that I have increased armor when using a void subclass, that saved me a lot and is recommended. Light in iron banana and trials will matter as much as it did in y1, people say that they'll use a thorn but they will suffer because damage matters, that's basically it
I'm not sure if you can see that my chest has increased void armor but it does
Grenade energy for trials.

wow get good noob

Jade Rabbit 1000 Yard Stare Vertigo Or Last Word Party Crasher Vertigo 4) Discipline should be prioritized, you need to ensure you have a reliable grenade ready when an enemy goes down. Strength.... Meh personal choice Intellect.... Meh persobal choice. But personally, Discipline number 1 5) Autos still need to be buffed, even the massively nerfed Hand Canons can still outgun them at the right range.

2 RespostasNo one knows the light level effect yet, theres a brand new system, different then the previous year one. Increased armor in PvP shouldnt really make a difference, but still not necessary a lost cause since its on most chest pieces. P:Hawksaw, Bad Juju, Hawkmoon, (Tlaloc when you have your super is also godly if you play warlock) ,Herja-D (rangefinder and headseeker w/ smallbore and fitted stock.) *Those are my personal preference on the best guns in the game atm, herja-d i added in there because i really do believe with a good roll it can compete. S:Eirene, 1000-ft Stare, Conspiracy Theory D (the one w/ rangefinder and performance bonus), or if youre one of the lucky few with a god roll PC 2.0 *Eirene, be in the new Final Round or not absolutely tears through sunbreakers with that lucky proc, so if there was to be a team of 3....this would be the go to. Otherwise ive been enjoy the 1000FS with hot swap and guerilla fighter. H: Vertigo I run knightstalker due to evade primarily, as well as two grenades that are capable of an easy insta kill. Because of a somewhat lackluster super i spec discipline and strength. (Tier 4 in both) This allows for constant grenades, something like 30-40 seconds for both. Grenades are nice primarily to check corners, etc, no different than any other fps. *However most other classes dont have this luxury, so youd be better off with intellect discipline, as there supers are more capable of multikills, not to say that shadowshot isnt....but within trials itll be a better counter play as opposed to offensive. And personally? With year two weapons, they did alright, granted most were reskinned from previous weapon models. But ive been hella enjoying the Hawksaw. Three burst headshot, cant go wrong.

3) bad juju 1,000 yard stare Raid rocket 4) 1.intellect 2.discipline 3.Strsngth

4 RespostasEditado por salsa2good: 10/12/2015 10:42:49 AMno such thing as competitive in destiny.... you want competitive? play halo most of these "top players" will play hella average.

Editado por VarietyBob: 10/13/2015 5:04:57 AM1) no clue. Sunbreaker titan here 2)yes. I'm assuming pieces that give you increased armor while using a certain subclass, along with type resistances will count. 3) primary: suros regime, full auto apple of discord with increased precision damage on body shot. Secondary: raid fusion rifle/shotgun, heavy: Thunderlord, qterminus. 4) 4th tier intellect, 3rd tier grenade, 1st tier strength. 5) many weapons feel more balanced this time around. The newer guns seem even more fun because of a few things. The sights of the guns are better and less clunky and year 1. Recoil patterns and gun vibrations in the controllers also make many weapons easy and more engaging when used. I wish they would bring back reforging, both in weapons and armor. While i have the best load out i can ask for, I would like to test many of the new guns to discover their full potential.

2 RespostasEditado por PlayerGuts: 10/13/2015 4:10:49 AM1) Don't know. 2) Yes. 3) Red Death/Hung Jury/Hawksaw, Conspiracy Theory-D/1000-Yard Stare/Stillpiercer/Long Far Gone, Truth/Vertigo/Raid HMG 4) Depends on your build and what you want to achieve but intellect and discipline is your best bet. 5) They're good overall. I couldn't really tell you, just more guns with less recoil I guess.
