I honestly dont know why you didnt learn this lesson last year. You should not require quests to have people engage in your garbage crucible. If its good enough to stand on its own it will. You shouldnt subject people to one shot from 10 feet away Y1 shotguns just to get their exotic sword.
Edit: I feel like I need to clarify a few points.
1) This is not a shotguns: OP or Not thread, that was merely an example.
2) "Git Gud" is not a healthy critique of anyone, and I have completed this portion of the quest twice. I know many people struggling to who are disliking the crucible more and more because of this.
3) Not one person is suggesting PvE should be the only place to get Exotics. The simplest solution to fix this is to make multiple paths for people to follow. Have a path for PvE, and one for PvP. Its simple, and each group of people get the reward theyre shooting for.

Editado por Chadmire: 10/16/2015 1:49:03 AMSadly bungie will never separate PVP and PVE activities. One of the biggest reason I have lost interest in this game. Never touched PVP and never will in this game. Players need to send bungie a message and the only way is to stop playing PVP, but people will scream til your ears bleed about how bad PVP is, but will still play it. This fall along the lines of Throwing money at the screen.

1 ResponderIf a quest includes PvP is should be 100% PvP. It should also augment the PvP experience not force a specific PvP play style. Set back modifiers to poor performance are also counter productive to this game. If you're a PvP player complaining you have to PvE in Destiny I have a question. Why did you choose a PvE game if you are solely a PvP player? Why would you not choose one of the numerous PvP only FPS games out? And yes this is a PvE game, heavily advertised as such.
-
If its good enough to stand on its own it will.
I think we've found the source of the problem. That and advertising the game as a cooperative FPS with RPG elements ensured that most of the playerbase would be PvE centric.

3 RespostasBungie is desperate for people to play their laggy, shotgun infested, space magic spam, shitty PVP because the vast majority of players don't, so they tie exotic bounties into the Crucible to try and force players into the Lagfest. Take the sword for instance. A simplistic weapon favored by the Hive. Utilized by the Hive. What in the -blam!- does it have to do with PVP? NOTHING.
-
3 RespostasBut then those masochist people who live in the crucible won't have anyone to kill, and they can't brag about how easy pvp is.
-
So why is it okay to make quests strictly pve? For pvp mainers that hate pve, they're in the same boat as you. They hate being forced to play pve for a quest. It's just a way to get people to play every aspect of the game and makes complete sense. The only thing that does suck is the fact that the quest lines in pvp are for the most part all ridiculous. Especially the quest to unlock nightfall tier rewards in crucible. That is easily the longest, most frustrating and time consuming quest in the game. And to make it worse, the rewards after completing it are almost guaranteed to be shit that you don't need at all.

Editado por The 7th fall: 10/8/2015 5:11:26 PMThis would be like telling Bungie to hate the number 7, they want to increase the grind as much as possible to fluff out gameplay because there isn't much content for us to play. Anyway otherwise I agree, it does get- no, IS annoying to have to do a ridiculous amount of PvP for certain exotics.
-
Editado por TartanDragon: 10/4/2015 12:18:12 PMBump.. A PvP pathway or a PvE pathway. Surely this would fit into Bungies 'play your way' philosophy they suggest they have?!
-
Chaperone quest is hard. Still on first step and only have 8%. :-(
-
I loathe PvP.
-
its not 10 feet its 5 stop flooding the forums with your over exaggerating whining thanks.............

2 RespostasReasons please. Saying:"I don't like PvP." Isn't a legitimate reason. I don't like Oryx, yet I kill the bitch so I can have what he offers. It's about give and take. If you don't feel like the rewards are worth going into PvP, then don't. But if you want the exotic weapon enough, you'll delve into PvP to get it. You have to give Bungie basis to do something and as far as I'm concerned, there is no real basis to do what you are asking.
-
Fully agree. I learned a long time ago (after I got my thorn) that I had no love for PvP, and since have just gone without. No more PvP exotics, iron banner. I hate the game mode, and so miss out on a lot of what the game offers. If it could still offer it in a way I found enjoyable, I would consider that a huge boost to destiny.

Signed.....I CANNOT stand PvP.. I refuse to do a PvP quest for the Chap' and First Curse. Sorry, not sorry Bungie...fix it.
-
I haven't done the exotic sword quest yet as have been busy learning the raid etc but I just wondered how much pvp is involved? I have done the 50 major kills and the 25 guardian kills - is that the only bit of pvp? Because if it is I'm not sure why people r moaning - I am not being rude because I admit I am bad at pvp but I did that in literally 3 rounds - with the sword handle (who needs heavy ammo) so whilst it slowed progress it wasn't that bad in my view.
-
Agree. Especially Edit #3's point.
-
3 RespostasHonestly I would be fine with the crucible shit if you didn't lose progress for dieing
-
Agreed! You do know those trolls are pre Halo players that do not know what a real multiplayer co-op game plays like, what happened?
-
I agree with not having to participate in the crucible for exotic quests unless that same weapon can also be obtained in a PVE quest. I go in the crucible occasionally just for fun but I'm not any good at it :p
-
Bump. Exotic quest should not require PvP
-
Agreed. One should not be forced to play PvP if they prefer a more PvE style of gameplay. That forces the player to either quit or never complete it because their progress is constantly dropping.
-
I agree. The path to getting the chaperone by playing PvP with the last word just makes me want to discard the bounty...
-
8 RespostasGit gud scrub.
No really, git gud
-
2 RespostasAnd pvp doesn't make for a healthy community where as pve ,with a fireteam at least, makes for good teamwork strategies and forms better bonds between people in general.

1 ResponderThey need to reduce penalties, that's all. I think Bungie made a smart idea to force people into playing both game modes. It creates a balance for the most part. What they need to address is the penalties on the bounties and apply a hefty one of people that rage quit. Essentially, I would rather see more "skill based" steps in a bounty instead of basic steps like "kill three trillion guardians without dying. Mmmkay?!". Maybe something like "block and riposte 10 guardians". Something simple, but requires a technique. Also, without penalty for dying.
