this isn't league of legends. You can tank all you want in PVE, PVP is supposed to be balanced :)

  • We were talking about supers, yes or no? That supers over the past year have been balanced?

  • Yeah, I'd say so, and here's why; Warlock: Sunsinger - ability to spam grenades, not 1-shot kills unless you blew up with fusion grenades. Viking Funeral helped, but wasn't by any means overpowered. Radiant Skin made you tanky, but was fair. Only exception to this is the Ram helmet. Then I would concede that it was overpowered slightly. Voidwalker - Other than a few cross-map arced supers, a generally close-mid ranged death blast capable of killing an entire team. Tough to be killed during this super, but pretty easy to avoid. Titan: Defender - Generally pretty useless in PVP unless your opponent was stupid enough to run into your waiting shotgun. Or unless you and a team of a few others set up bubble after bubble and worked that strategy. Not indestructible, but pretty tough inside the bubble, given the proper perk build or a super is detonated inside. Striker - Minus the "other than a few cross-map arced supers" part, see 'Voidwalker' - Short super length, almost (if not) impossible to kill mid-super. Hunter: Bladedancer - Generally useful in PVP. Damage resistance with health regen (if perk is activated) on a kill. Not especially overpowered. Moderate difficulty to kill while supered. Gunslinger - 1-shot short-long range kill. 4 shots, no damage resistance though. Generally easy to kill if you get the first shot. ----- And now, someone can pop a super and essentially be a Hunter with GG, with similar, maybe only slightly shorter range because of an arc, damage resistance, regenerating health, incredibly blast radius, and slightly ridiculous tracking. It's like combining gunslinger and bladedancers abilities into one super. all things aside I'm not that upset by HoS. The only thing out of the whole shabang that I think needs adjusting is the tracking on the hammer, no matter how insignificant you titans say it is. if I sidestep that thing by 10 meters and i still get hit by it and i die, i have a right to be pissed about it.

  • Okay I wont argue with alot that you have said. But here is my argument: If all these supers have been as balance as your opinion states, why, and please tell me why, are the majority of the top 100 players mostly hunters? With another majority of them being warlocks? This being pre2.0. Only 12 players out of the top 100, so 12% of players were Titans. I may be mistaken but im sure it was 46 top players were hunters and 42 players warlocks. Again I say, pre 2.0 so I dont believe everything was balanced.

  • If I had to have a guess, I'd suspect that because the titan's supers are either useless or close-mid range and because they don't have blink., also because Striker/Defender melee is inferior. And while I see your point here, and concede that titans did need a short-long range super, as the hammer satisfies, but i think there are a few things that could be balanced out that would make it less like a 2-in-1 super. Personally, when it comes down to these statistics, I can't give you a good reason as to why titans were the least chosen other than what I listed above. I'm not a top 100 player, but I picked a Warlock in the beta because it suited my play style. I like space and magic, and it had those in the voidwalker. Initially, I had no intention of playing crucible, but later in the stages of year one, I had just been so accustomed to playing as a warlock that I mained it in crucible. I played a Titan and my Hunter in the two most recent Iron Banner's also to get 3 lvl 5 IB rankings, and I must say that I prefer playing a warlock because I am the most comfortable on it. Nothing more. But I digress. All in all, despite my original post in this topic being rather pretentious, the only thing I have an issue with when it comes to Hammer of Sol is the tracking. Otherwise, I just go about my warlock business in crucible.

  • @earl I'm not talking about the Titans' inward problem with lack of balance throughout your individual super. Don't twist my words. @mandog your comment is completely unaided anger which is irrelevant to my comment. @sensuality I suggest you check your own k/ds against mine before you tell me to get good.

  • And having a subclass that is terrible aside from the super and a super with a ton of trade offs is balanced.
