hey so just so you all know, irl snipers can hide scope glint, ive provided a pic for you <3
also light wouldn't hit and invisible sniper because the light would go thru the scope and rifle.
oh and my examples! Halo, Battlefield, and CoD (and many more FPS games) dont have a massive give away that you are sniping. highlighted because some of you people think i dont know there is glint in battlefield, you go play on a bright sunny day map and see if you can see a sniper glint while in combat and focused on something else.
explanation on battlefield: yes it does have glint, didnt say it didnt, i said it isnt as obvious as it is in destiny. i know night maps and dark areas that it sticks out like a sore thumb but the on most open day maps you can easily over look it.
also for the people who say you cant hide the glint irl .... just dont comment, save your time.
what would be cool: remove red light, remove aim assist, add sway, make snipers do less damage up close and more damage from a distance (like reverse auto rifles but not one hit kill)
or even just add a perk to certain rifles or random rifles that removes or dims the light
part of the no land beyond grimore: "Others believe it a Golden Age relic built to honor the sniper and their artful approach to battle—to lean on the sole power of the long rifle, nest where the enemy cannot see, trust in the power of calm and know there is nowhere to fall back to. "

Bump if you agree so this doesn't get buried instantly: Snipers should have the glint to discourage camping and to tone them down a bit (they're already pretty deadly in the right hands) I do think there should be 2 exceptions: No Land Beyond: this is a pretty crap gun due to the awful RoF. If you removed the glow it would make it at least a little viable over other snipers. It also has no scope, just iron sites so it definitely shouldn't have it. Patience and Time: the invisibility on P and T is crap. You are invisible but you have a giant red dot on your head. The glow should be removed once invisible, but still be there when you are scoped normally. Edit: I realise some people (including me) can do ok with NLB and enjoy using it. However, for the sake of the majority I have called it bad. This doesn't mean I think it can't be used well.
