Bungie means to tell me, that only a select few exotics will move on to the taken king? Only a few will be just as powerful! Is that right? Because I won't be too happy not being able to use my gjallarhorn and icebreaker
In TTK gameplay.
EDIT- I watched the stream again, and from my understanding the attack value only affects your light level. Which leads me to believe all exotics will do the same damage, but year 1 exotics will have less attack value, decreasing player light level.

1 ResponderEditado por Cerberus64: 8/20/2015 2:07:36 PMHere's the important part of that conversation between Deej and Tyson Green regarding year one Exotics: Tyson Green: So, we didn’t want it to be the case that if you found something in year one, that you had to go and find it again in year two so that’s why, that’s why the blueprints give you access to the updated versions of any of the year one items. Deej: But, you’re only bringing some of those Exotics forward. Tyson Green: Yeah, only some of them are coming forward, right now, and but any Exotic that we bring forward there will be the updated versions available here in the blueprints You will see that he said "right now", meaning that Exotics that have not currently been brought forward may well do in the future. Now obviously this was just a web chat and not a press release so not every word was scrutinised and checked over but I would imagine they have plans to bring ALL the exotic up to year two in due course.

2 RespostasLet's face it, you won't be happy no matter what they do
-
3 RespostasI'm excited for the new guns, I'm getting tired of fatebringer, black hammer, and gally
-
Editado por A Wax Yogi Bear: 8/20/2015 2:04:09 PMI think they have to leave some behind let's say over a 10 year period you have 4 dlc's each year each containing 3 new exotic weapons that's 120 exotic guns alone not including (Destiny 2,345 etc) which would likely add 12-16 to each one You would run out of vault space pretty quick ...

Change=good

4 RespostasWhat I understood from the reveal was that certain exotics got a year 2 version with new perks. But ALL would be able to hit maxed damage by consuming.
-
It looked as though only a couple are actually upgradable to year two. But its not that big of a deal.
-
She canna take any more captain, she's ganna blow!
-
You can take all of your year 1 blueprints to my understanding.... Each armor specific page only shows armor relevant to your class type.
-
4 RespostasIn my understanding from how Destiny is we should keep all exotics in year 2, it's not what's happening but it should. Exotics are unique and need to transcend the years.. All exotics should remain a viable option through each year simply because they will offer options for guardians.
-
I'm looking forward to the fresh start and most overpowering weapons leaving Destiny for better weapons to come
-
Only a few will get a new version
-
Most shooter games have a separate release where you're back to square one, not to mention a lot of sequels actually change the gameplay to the point it doesn't even feel the same game anymore (Resistance,Killzone,...). This one is like an ongoing story where if you liked the initial game you're pretty much set to enjoy it until Bungie stops releasing content. They allow you to carry most of your stuff, so some weapons may not carry over, but like.. who the eff cares.
-
6 RespostasNot only that but according to Luke smith they will be 170 attack, now in trailers etc there have been weapons higher than 300 attack which means our exotics which can't be upgraded to 2.0 will quite frankly be shit! Lol Having said that I am glad.
-
Icebreaker had a 2.0 I'm pretty sure I saw that. Not too sure about gally
-
Wait, you mean to tell me you didn't see this? That the game or its expansions didn't make you realize how this game works? Common sense is calling, pick up the phone.
-
7 RespostasI think all exotics will eventually be upgradable. But I think they should announce a cemetery for weapons that should be left in the dirt and forgotten for all time. Biggest grave stone will have the words: Thorn R.I.P. And good riddance. It'll be teabagged non-stopped.
-
10 Respostasall exotics will be on equal ground, its just a few will be able to upgrade to have better perks than they originally did so they are more useful
-
1 ResponderDude, it was going to happen eventually. Besides, the exotics that are being brought forward will increase over time, so long as the community keeps voicing our desire for them.
-
They never specifically stated our old exotics won't infuse for a boost. So, we're assuming everything. How about this... Maybe the weapons not shown have Quests now? They're all interesting weapons with cool back stories... Maybe we have to unlock those year 2 version via Quests... Like return to the Twilight Gap and find a relic to charge with the light of fallen Guardians, return to Banshee and Crux/Lomar will forge you a new weapon?... Right? Badass. Won't happen. But its badass nonetheless
-
I think they won't be available at the start. I think eventually they all will have upgraded counterparts
-
No you heard it right. Ghally won't have a year 2 upgrade and will be left just as powerful as a legendary year one weapon and weaker than a year 2 uncommon weapon.
-
we can upgrade damage on all exotics. but some select weapons have year 2 variants that have select-able perks. But I think the reason is they don't want to just slap random perks on an exotic that don't make sense. and Gjallarhorn doesn't need extra perks and wolfpack rounds should not start on the gun. So they have to rebalance weapons and perks for year 2 variants
-
All will be able to be upgraded to maximum power its just they won't get a year 2 version.
-
I think all exotics will be upgraded to year two. Some, however, won't get upgraded perks like how we saw with the suros regime.
-
16 RespostasAwwww are you not good enough at the game to make do without the 2 most OP weapons there is. Bless you, you're so cute!
