Would you vote in favor or against legalizing cannabis for individuals 21 and over to grow, distribute, use medically, or use recreationally in America? Similar to Colorado or other states that have legalized it. It is becoming known that alcohol is more damaging. Discuss
If you like to get drunk but dont like people getting high, why? Genuine interest.
I have colleagues who maintain a 4.0 in college whilst smoking regularly
Oh yeah and the incredible tax revenue for the states is great! Colorado made about 51 million in its first year of legalization.
It does not have to be smoked like many seem to think. It can be vaporized, or put into foods, ect. No smoke methods are out there.
Think about its medicinal properties as well, yes its not a solve all problems but it can take the place or some prescription drugs that may cause some pretty nasty side effects. Epilepsy patients find relief, PTSD patients have found relief. To name some
Please discuss like civilized people, no need for mud slinging here

decriminalize it. maybe not full legalization yet.

1 ResponderIt might just be because I live in Colorado but many of the commenters on here sound like 1950s church ladies... Or maybe they're all 13-15 years old and just finished those horrible D.A.R.E. classes. Listen, I don't smoke. I'm past my partying prime and my job is quite specific about their opinions regarding the ganj. However, legalizing marijuana was a genius move for us here in CO. Stop believing everything you see on your politically biased news.

1 ResponderHow about we just keep buying it from the sketchy (but tax free) guy most of us know nd the cops just leave us alone
-
9 RespostasHere in Michigan, we vote next year. It will likely be legalized
-
Legalize it and tax the shit out of it.
-
2 RespostasThe problem with taxing it is that people will still buy it from "the guy by the streetlight" for cheaper or to just "stick it to the man".
-
4 RespostasColorado legalized it and look at horrible way the economy plummeted once they did. Id like to keep Texas free of it seeing as two of it's biggest cities are the biggest contribution to the countries economic recovery.

It's a JUMPING OFF drug. I used to drink, snort coke, took acid, then got high and never looked back. It's my one vice.

1 ResponderLegalize and tax it.

14 RespostasMore people are against legalising it? I bet those people drink alcohol and like to preach how bad marijuana is for you.

2 RespostasEditado por SQUIDTASTIX: 5/28/2015 5:28:01 PMMy father being a doctor, i was always preached to about the "evils of marijuana" and how it causes brain damage and has all these horrid side effects. Regardless of wether or not that had any merit, it just seems to make people do things they later regret. Granted alcohol does the same thing, but why have 2 forms of substance abuse out there? And to add to that, alcohol can be consumed in small quantities and have no effect. And im pretty sure that marijuana has a pretty universal effect near regardless of dosage size. I don't know that but I believe it to be the case.

2 RespostasEconomic output will not be reduced due legalizing cannabis. Legalization is not going to suddenly take over the population a cause a mass retardation. You would not believe the amount of hedge funds and private equity groups that are positioning themselves to profit off of legalization. At this point the smart money says, betting against legalization is like bringing a knife to a gun fight.

6 RespostasPeople that use marijuana are degenerate unmotivated lowlife scum that contribute nothing to society.

seeing as I don't smoke I don't really care either way
-
7 Respostasas long as it's not taxed then yeah legalize it
-
2 RespostasWhat if cannibals were legal?
-
I don't see why not. They legalized alcohol, which kills more people than cancer, and tobacco, which is the main cause of cancer. The world would probably be more peaceful anyway lol

Yeah, that's what everyone wants. Another control method for the masses. It's great too because it sells itself. Wasters will be the first ones to complain when their freedom turns to shit. And won't do anything about it.... That's the part that irks me, really. The 60's is probably my most hated time period of America. You'd think it'd be the 80s, or more recent atrocities, but no. It's when many people decided, ignorance is bliss. If Mayer Amschel could see this, he would be proud of his orphan family. Inb4shill

5 RespostasIt would demolish productivity. It also has significant detrimental effects on the brain. I do not think that drinking is good either and if i controlled the country i would place laws against binge drinking

I say it should be legalized. Just if you smoke it you need to let the effects of it lessen to drive. Same restrictions as alcohol.
-
South Dakota definitely won't be getting legalized anytime in the future but I think most states will for the extra $$.
"Money talks and bullshit walks" -Jordan Belfort
Evrybody knows that the best way to get rid of something is to legalize it, then tax it through the roof.
