So I read the new update, and I have to admit, I expected at least an honorable mention for something like this. Some way to prevent all guardians from looking like cardboard cutouts of the same model by equipping a vanity item that alters appearance or by transferring light level/perks to different armor. It's in quite a few MMOs/RPGs and I think that the majority of the community supports it. Really wanted them to at least mention it for the next patch. What do y'all think? Am I the only one who is really hoping for this ASAP?
Edit- in no way am i trying to diss Bungie, I love them and I love this game. I think they've done a pretty sweet job of responding to feedback and letting the game grow in the way the community wants it to! Not at all trying to be rude, if it seems that way its just because I'm excited for this and I want it to happen!

1 ResponderBump. I want this in the game more than anything (except vault space!)
-
1 ResponderI hope so. I'm tired of every character looking the same aside from a shader by the time u hit the cap light lvl
-
This needs to be brought hopefully alongside with comet. Like others said though, I would rather to bugs and other essential game mechanics to be fixed first

4 Respostas1.2 is HoW. They've already said it's a tricky one and probably not even on their radar. I'd say it's a feature for Destiny 2.
-
1 Responder1.2 is House of Wolves expansion. I doubt we'll even get to 1.1.4 before HoW, which will be here in 3 months maximum. Today's update gave us a look at a lot of things they're looking for. I doubt Bungie is even worried about it at this point. I think it'd be cool but I wouldn't really care if it never came around.

1 ResponderEditado por Cuthalion42: 3/13/2015 1:16:54 AMI want vanity slots! So I can wear Starfire protocol but look like I'm wearing different armor that actually changes with my shader!
-
1 ResponderOne of the earliest things the Devs said about our Guardians is in reference to their individual appearances. Right now there is very little in terms of individuality. If they don't allow the transferring of attributes from one piece of armor to another of the same slot then they need to figure something else out. Other games have a separate "style type" for armor. By equipping a piece of armor you add that particular style to your menu. You can then go to your "style menu" and change the outward appearance of your arms without changing the stats. No transmogrification needed. DC Universe does this and it works great. Just equip a piece once and add its appearance to a selectable menu. No changing or transferring of stats. Yet all characters could look unique.

4 RespostasWhen destiny was pre release, they always said that your gear was supposed to tell a story. And that other guardians would know what you had accomplished just by looking at you. This sounded good, but the execution left a lot to be desired. I'd rather they expanded on their original vision then add the vanity slot. I'd like multiple max level gear sets to be available. If their were 5 sets per class of crota gear, and a lvl 33 VoG with several sets of max gear, and a couple full sets of Iron Banner and Queens gear... etc Oh, and the option to equip different shaders to each item. That's what I'd like to see.
-
1 ResponderYes I'm sick of every single 32 in the game looking the exact same.
-
1 ResponderYESSSSSS but the apearence of exotic gear should never change
-
3 RespostasNot needed in the game this is not WoW or Terra or any other vanity game.
-
7 RespostasCool idea man. Vanities are a necessity in any type of game like this, especially when customization is key to, and I quote, "becoming legend". But it won't happen.
-
2 RespostasHeck, I'll diss them, no way this will happen before D2.
-
1 ResponderWith the limited amount of high end gear, appearance is important in wanting to feel like a special snowflake. I think a lot of the knight patterns for Titan look really cool. But I can't wear them and be level 32.
-
Definitely something they should consider implementing. There are some really cool armors out there that I'd like to wear or at least make my gear look like.
-
1 ResponderI think bugs and vault space should be taken care of first, but I do want cosmetic options.
-
Transmog needs to be added. It's sad how many of us look the same, especially considering how well designed most of the lower level gear looks. Please add transmog Bungie!
-
2 RespostasI'm all for this! I always thought that some sort of style tab should have been implemented. Like you could equip whatever armor you wanted and on a separate tab you could choose what style for that specific slot. Was thinking getting the styles could work like this. A) Choose from a list of styles you've already collected B) Buy styles from a vendor (would also be something to use glimmer on too).

1 ResponderEditado por Cheap-Wonton: 3/13/2015 12:02:00 AMI am somewhere in the middle of the last two choices. I am of the group "Should be done but is unimportant." I don't really care if if players look similar.
-
1 ResponderWe don't have enough "stuff" it transmog effectively after HoW we stand a better chance.
-
5 RespostasI agree this is very important, but think about it... What other console game have you played with such steady updates, insight into future plans and content have you played prior to this... I can wait for the great stuff to come while they fix the good stuff. To say that it should be fixed next update is just seemingly the characteristics of spoiled gamers. Im thrilled you all voiced your opinions to possibly get it on the radar, but be patient, it'll come.
-
2 RespostasThis is an awesome idea. But I really doubt it will happen. Even if it happens, I don't think it would be implemented through a simple patch, I think it would be sold in a DLC.
-
3 RespostasAgreed. This is more important to me than vault space. I care more about what the few things I use look like than storing things I may not ever use.
