Just ate a Philly steak combo from the deli for $9.00. This season cost $10. Also went to see Top Gun over the weekend for about $10.
The sandwich was delicious. The movie was two hours long and very good. By the end of the season with just doing the story missions and the events and such I will have at least 10-20 hours of entertainment (not counting the usual fun I have with my clan mates in dungeons and events and such).
It’s a good deal and you know it. I don’t get where gamers have this bs sense of entitlement like they are being overcharged for something.

King of strawman right here. See, the difference is we have already paid hundreds of dollars to Bungie for Destiny and the season is supposed to be enough content to last 3 months. I buy food for life. I buy a movie for 2-3 hours of entertainment. I buy a season pass for a season of content. Different things have different values and different markets. By your flawled logic 8 seasons of the office should cost thousands of dollars and yet I get it for $5 a month from peacock. 🤔🤔
-
😂 That's your answer to everything uh? Calling everyone a stream because you have nothing concrete to say and end up blocking peoples when they reply and call you out

Edited by SirEman80: 6/8/2022 4:43:29 PMI’m making a comparison of value transfer which while somewhat subjective does give sense of the comparable value of the Destiny season pass content with other products and or content. How is that a straw man? The office reference was pretty good though. I guess you could say I’m paying $3.50 a month for Destiny content give or take. Still a bargain in the monthly cost for persistent rpg games. That’s what licensing agreements are (TOS for Destiny, Peacock, etc.). Why do you think I think it should cost thousands of dollars? Also Peacock could remove the office tomorrow (vaulting content) and you’d have now say other than cancelling your $5 a month. Oh and food isn’t for life (other than not eating food will result in the end of life). It’s very temporary in its benefit which is why we need to keep eating it.

Chuck town isn't smart Last night he call me a straw man because I asked him why his PvP poll from reddit mattered ....then blocked me when he couldn't find something smart

Food isn't for life? Try going without it and see what happens.

You starve and die

I saw a typo on my second read through and was editing a change while you posted this so I just extended my response in the original post (which had already addressed this). Again, my point was about comparable value transfer.
-
My point is you can't just compare random things to prove their value. That's not how it works. We have set and learned expectations for seasonal content. That's where it's value is. Every single D2 player I play with thinks this season is weak AF.
-
And every player you play with is not representative of the entire community. That’s completely anecdotal. And everything we are getting this season is comparable to other seasons in terms of amount of weapons/armor ornaments, seasonal story, etc. Your subjective opinion of that value is fine but it doesn’t affect the market value of the content which is fairly consistent. It sounds like you don’t like the topics/areas and activities involved in this season, which again is purely subjective and totally fine as far as it’s ‘value’ to you.
-
It's not anecdotal. It's indicative. There's a difference. No matter how much you love Bungie masters, the season is light. It's not subjective. Almost every weapon we got is a re-issue. Even the seasonal exotic.
-
Every player I play D2 with thinks this season is great, Leviiathan is a great location, wicked cool weapons to hunt rolls for or craft, sweet armor ornaments, interesting story, etc. That’s indicative of the playerbase as a whole too, right?
-
This season is bare bones & you know it...
-
54 people in your clan, only 14 above power level 1530. Yeah, they're HUGE fans.
-
The average player probably plays with the same 6-10 people consistently (fewer than that regularly) no matter how big their clan. Most clans are majority made of people that are inactive or lurkers. And clans also usually group up based on like minded ideals about the game. Of course you’ll hear a lot of what you already think because your already have agreed about a lot of things about the game since you’re in the same clan. How does that have anything to do with comprehensive data on general reception of the season in the ENTIRE playerbase? That’s not how stats work.
-
Bye man. Good luck on getting that tour of Bungie HQ. 🤞

Edited by SirEman80: 6/8/2022 6:21:30 PMHave an awesome day! Just trying to foster a little more critical thinking of things. There are many things I don’t agree with Bungie about where Destiny is concerned but the value of a season isn’t one of them.
-
Sure, if that's what you want to go with.
-
That’s what you went with. Why can’t I use it too? Personal experience and opinion is anecdotal data and not indicative of anything but that small set of data. My statement about my self and clan mates has no more merit to the entertainment value of the season than yours does. We would need a lot more comprehensive data.
-
Lmfao. Comprehensive data. We're talking about a video game here Bill Nye. Take it down a notch. Does Bungie give you anything for this sycophantic defense of their honor or you just do it for fun?
-
Is it really 10 - 20 hours of entertainment? Or 10 - 20 of grinding seen as "entertainment"? You can have that much in other games, for free even
