My final point, so I won’t be responding after this. As I have said before, Destiny is a looter shooter and it takes that into PvP and PvE. I have some of your replies. In one you mentioned that having different archetypes is ok, but the perks is what makes it unfair. If all guns where just purely cosmetic, and there was no grind for that sweet god roll, then why play at all? By removing perks you take away the grind. Grinding and uniqueness of a weapon is why many people hold destiny dear to there hearts. If it was the way you want it to be, where every gun is purely cosmetic, I wouldn’t have a favourite gun. My Necrochasm is the same as your doctrine of passing, but boy it looks cool.
That’s not fun, it’s boring and bland. Halo was fun but there was no diversity. It got boring. I don’t want destiny to become boring.

Edited by Gawain: 2/20/2019 3:33:19 AMHardly. PVE is an adventure. It is a completely different animal than PVP which is competition. Just because the Devs make efforts to correct abilities and gear to be balanced in PVP does not take way from grinding for that "God or Meta Roll" in PVE. Also Destiny is NOT a Looter shooter, it is a MMORPG regardless of how Bungie would like to sell it. Looter Shooters start all players off mostly nothing at the start of each match and players have to find upgrades and weapons on the field as they go. Halo PVP was / is a looter shooter, Destiny you start each match with your best gear, a concept that oppose "Looter Shooter." Speaking of which I think I have seen some of your vids. You could work on being more informative and using the words God Roll less. And you would still have favorite guns. I have both a favorite type as well as named guns. The only difference would be that you prefer a type in PVP where as you Refer the named gun in PVE. It most definitely would not stop me from using named guns in PVP just for bragging rights, however that gun would not provide me with an unfair advantage which is the basis of competition. Seriously would you consider it a competition if one team had paint pellet air guns and the other side used rubber and bean bag bullets in real guns? I would not. Near side would die but one side would definitely not want to get back up. An unfair advantage is an unfair advantage and comparing PVE to PVP is as apples and oranges as comparing effective to competitive.

First off. Don’t have a YouTube channel. Secondly, I guess its personal preference. Most people keep playing destiny to either improve or grind for something. Most people would stop playing if their favourite gun was the same as some common tier weapon. Trust me on this.

Are you saying that the storyline and PVE is pointless if your hand cannon is perfectly fine in PVE but defaulted in PVP? Considering they are both independent of each other I am intrigued to hear your answer. Say Gambit offered one of the best guns in the game. Even if it was nerfed in Gambit for PVP balance I would guarantee players would still grind for it, just to use it in PVE.

I’m not sure how to explain this, let me try. Ok. The reason I grind for guns is to see how they fair in the crucible. So now, let’s say I have a gun I get from some PvE activity that I think would have the perfect role in PvP, I take it in, but it’s been converted to a base weapon. I would be quite upset, it could have offered a new play style, a uniqueness to the way I play. But, you have offered a solution that I agree on in a different comment. Have two separate playlist types. One for normal crucible, and one for the default settings.

Edited by Gawain: 12/18/2018 3:15:48 AMExactly = play in the Gear Unrestricted mode. From the very start I suggest an ADDITIONAL option not a replacement. Dogma = Cant be effective when you start the game in PVP, Dogma = Cant Be Competitive until you grind gear hundreds of hours into the game for PVP Solution = Two types of PVP. One Gear Unlimited and the other Gear Balanced. Now everyone can play PVP at Level 1. I really dont understand how everyone is not happy with this concept. Everyone gets what they want. A PVP for underdeveloped players and elites that want to test just their skill and a PVP for players who have the LUNA only. Joke intended, but seriously options man. I dont know how better to express this.

That was what I was trying to say. It’s a good idea. Will it happen? I don’t know, but I support this idea specifically.
