I've played Halo forever and loved it to death. I fell in love with Halo Reach and couldn't wait for Bungi to make a brilliant Halo 4, but I was told that they were done.. Now that 343 made Halo 4, i was completely excited... Until I played the game. It's like someone went and tried to turn Halo into Call of Duty, but keep the aliens. Why didn't Bungi just 1.) end the franchise or 2.) make Halo 4 them selves?

Business is business. Halo was worth cash money and cash money feeds da kids and da kids have alot of them needs.

Bungie didn't sell Halo, unless you're talking about when Microsoft originally bought the franchise. But otherwise their contract ended, and neither them not Microsoft wanted to continue making Halo, with Bungie. Then Microsoft made 343, and now they make Halo.

Edited by brandorobot: 8/9/2013 2:06:02 PMYou know originally Halo was going to be a Mac game, and Microsoft bought the rights to release it on the Xbox. The rest is history.

1 ReplyBungie said that basically Halo was selling itself and any game that had the word Halo in the title would sell well, and they didn't want that they wanted to have to work for their sales, so they sold Halo and started on Destiny

8 RepliesMicrosoft bought Halo from Bungie at the very beginning. Bungie had a 10 year contract with Microsoft which expired, Bungie decided to part ways with Microsoft which meant giving up their rights to Halo in the process. They moved on, get over it.

8 RepliesThey didn't, Halo has always been owned by Microsoft, Bungie were commissioned to make 6 Halo games.

Multi game contracts are a trap for developers.
