If we have to use mods for orbs now, they should've got rid of ammo mods and just made ammo drops plentiful. The little stat boost from masterworking isn't worth the investment.

2 RepliesI would be fine with weapons not creating orbs if they made one change. If armor mod slots could hold any mod. I rarely use the fourth slot so let's be able to put any mod into any slot.

3 RepliesI have a gun that has 100 range and it’s master work is range… The only reason I would master work it is to make orbs, that is my big complaint with the changes. Everything else I can live with and I trust will change overtime because it’s all stupid. But that is just absurd to make me compete with mod spaces. There are so many different things that you constantly are trying to swap in and out for different activities. Maybe let us make presets so I can click a button and have all my mods change so I don’t have to swap everything out. Because now there’s just way to hell more. Orbs of power need to go back to the way it was. Plain and simple.

I masterwork the weapons I don't want to accidentally delete.

If we have to use mods for orbs now, they should've got rid of ammo mods and just made ammo drops plentiful. The little stat boost from masterworking isn't worth the investment.
Masterworking is stupid cheap. It costs next to nothing for a +10 stat bump.

5 Repliesi would like to see orb gen returned to masterworked exotics at the very least and make the kinetic orb gen mod same cost as energy gen mod. kinetics are usually weaker anyways so its dumb for their orb gen mod to cost more

Save you shards and cores. Bungie fkked up once more. Bungies new motto, if it's not broken, BREAK IT!

1 Replybut but but kill tracker.

Edited by Xero: 3/2/2022 7:55:34 PMMeh. Some like the stat boost, others don't. Something will eventually get reworked with this. I'll Masterwork if the stat is the one I was looking for on a gun. The end.
PS: Gold box
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I was thinking the same thing.
If we have to use mods for orbs now, they should've got rid of ammo mods and just made ammo drops plentiful. The little stat boost from masterworking isn't worth the investment.
Weapons no reason, armor, if they do same to armor (somehow neuter it) like weapons then no reason also

2 RepliesDepends on the gun. Range MW is still valuable on shotguns and stability on Fusions, for example. Reload or Draw Time MW on a Bow is good. Obv if its a dud MW there is absolutely no point now lol
-
There’s still some reasons to masterwork depending on the roll you get. But it’s not as important as it used to be. At Keats that’s one less thing I need to grind materials for.
-
There’s definitely not near as much benefit to MW as before. I did MW a Funnelweb w Handling to try and max it out just to see how it was.
-
5 RepliesI believe Bungie made the comment that master working is mostly just for PvP now where a +10 to a stat could be a bigger deal. And that it is not necessary in PvE by design (well, re-design).

cuz shiny

1 Replyi’ve got spare shards constantly blinking at me in postmaster so as soon as I find some more armor with potential I’ll MW them. Use or lose next time postmaster gets too full.
-
Shiny square, they said they have plans for masterwork but not for now, don't masterwork if you don't want too

The stat boost is still worth it if the mw is range or stability. I’m sure masterworkinh is staying since crafted weapons still need 12 cores to craft the frame, unless you choose the default one.
