It's not about tune one gun or another. Actually, that's the reason why the weapons in PvP are so uneven, because Bungie nerfs/buffs without concerning to overall balance. Bungie team should sit their ***** down and rework the way weapons not only function, but relate to each other.
i find that lots of stuff is good now, it’s actually fairly balanced.
sidearms wreck people.
subs are pretty good, they’ll eat monkeys alive.
120s are a little strong, but i think it fine with it now.
140s are pretty nice too, you can duel 120s if you’re in the right range.
180s are terrible.
autos are pretty nice too, 450s shoot really far and 600s still gobble people up.
fusions are good as ever.
GLs are a little too strong.
scouts would be good if we had some bigger maps, but a campy scout rifle meta would suck.
shotguns are.... i dunno. i use jotunn. with the upcoming nerfs to movement exotics i think that they will be cut down a little bit.
arbelest is nutty.
slugs are nice if you’ve got the aim for it.
snipers are super strong in the right hands. (as it should be)
almost everything could do with a body damage increase though. it would help your panic shots shut down shotguns and make non special weapons a little more forgiving.
They should have never moved sidearms from the secondary slot. They directly compete with smgs in their ranges and dominate it.
I'd much rather it be a special weapon and have it's damage be increased a bit more. (Mag size and reserves being untouched tho)
Yeah. They're kinda an oddity in their place as primaries since they started as special weapons. They're supposed to dominate at close ranges and finishing off opponents but that's it. It's really situational and falls into the special role.
