Ah, I misunderstood. Apologies!
In the real world the provocative folks tear down the walls around them and leave people to avoid them. And they're easy enough to ignore. I'm sure Bungie hasn't made any changes based on a garbage post from someone poking multiple bears just to see what happens.
But same goes for retaliatory responses. And nobody should be on the forums or in the real world being a jerk. But it happens. As immature as people are, real life isn't a middle school playground.
My dad used to tell me "don't ever start a fight, but if you get in one, make sure you're the one ending it". It's a nice sentiment to avoid being bullied, but as an adult of someone verbally assaults me, ignoring them is even better than acknowledging them.
Anyway, sorry the mods find you an easy target.
Agreed.
Which is why we need an ability to mute these individuals and keep them from engaging us, that doesn't turn into calling an artillery strike on our own position.
Also such a mute function would allow a chance for people to go to opposite corners and cool off before tempers flare. Especially if that's precisely what one person is trying to provoke.
It will actually make the mods jobs easier... and the forum less toxic without having ban people all over the place.
