• It lost its value. Bungie showed thier true colours and it hurt them.

Nope. In the beginning we had no idea what we were getting into. Everything was a mystery and it was fun learning about the world... Until we realized that there wasn't much to learn. PvE content was limited until VoG was released and just like that Destiny was injected with freshness... Then everyone started looking the same. PvP was actually quite fun in the beginning! With the weapon landscape of blue and greens, rarely did you see a legendary gun in Crucible. PvP was closer to something called balance... Now it's just a mess. Destiny was better in the beginning than it is now.

    • Absolutely. By a big margin. There's shed load more to do and what we have to do is more fun.

Yes. Because there is a wider-variety of things to do...and more things to do for those players who are willing to play the WHOLE game. This game's biggest problem is that it was designed to bring a persistent world and SOME mmo and RPG elements to a SHOOTER gaming crowed. But a MMO-RPG fanbase largely showed up to play it...and expected the same amount of content---and flow of content that you see in a typical MMO----in a game whose gameplay mechanics are dozens of times more complex and difficult to program than your typical MMO or RPG. To those who complain about the "grind".....all loot-based games are grinds if you want the best gear. Those who complain about the repetitiveness....all shooter games are repetitive. To those complaining about weapon rebalancing.....ALL shooter games and action-RPGs go through this. That are a necessary part of the long-term health of the game. Put on your big boy pants and deal with it. To those wishing ill upon th egame and "hoping it dies".....For the Love of God STFU and go play something else, and stop pissing in the punchbowl. Life is full of disappointments. Chalk this game up as one of yours, and move on like a grown up, and stop thrown tantrums.

    • Destiny wasnt fun after leveling my first character. I am not being snide or rude, but there was never anything different, the characters sure, but the character development is poor, beyond poor really. The only difference in the story is who you talk to for vanguard, thats it. There is nothing in the game, that requires any character class. No special puzzles, not even different paths that are only accessible via something special about that class. Traps that would make being a Bladedancer useful, nothing. It is sad really. Then you get the worlds, they should be anywhere from 2 to 3 times the size they are. Side quests, seriously, side quests, someone in the tower needs to tell us we have _____ issue, we need your boots on the ground to help clear it up. Salvage missions on patrol, we should be getting those items as mission trackers and have to turn them in to their respective people that asked for those items. There is so much depth that could be given to this game through some serious thought and planning, but no i might as well be playing that campaign in CoD, boring and lifeless, but at least those have a coherent story...

      • I haven't been playing for longer than six months, but from my own limited experience, it isn't. It's not new. Not that any game is this long after release, but this feels more stale somehow. With a game like Fallout or Skyrim, I can pick it back up a year after I last played it and find something new and exciting. With Destiny, I'm merely encouraged to create 3 characters so I can do the same limited activities 3 times.

I really truly hope to see this game die. They don't deserve people's hard earned money. Ok some may say "I have 76,000hrs played, I got my money's worth" but even if you played a lot majority was repeating the same content in hopes to finish your weapon collection most likely. There are other games with so much more work, and effort put into them it's actually insane. Destiny was released so unfinished that a year from release and it still doesn't even have volume sliders. People can hardly play crucible because of cheaters, lag, and error codes. And on top of that they don't listen to the community. It's like they dropped a polished turd on us and said, hey "updates coming at a future time, go -blam!- yourself till then" the updates are always "oh we can't talk about them yet, but we will keep you posted, keep playing!" I recently bought witcher 3 and inside the game was a thank you note from the company thanking me for investing my money into their game and having faith in their product. The games got more content before you reach level 10 then playing through every dlc of destiny. Oh and the first 16 dlc's are free. Destiny's ten year plan has turned into the 2year dlc money grab before jumping ship. Edit - oh and destiny doesn't even have a story, remember when you first get to the tower how the guy says "I could tell you all about the war and what happened... But I won't" what the hell is that.

          • No. Still no story, still only grind, still no dedicatet servers for pvp, still almost no content considering this game already has two dlcs.

            • The lack of new raids, and lack of dlc content for pve has made the game an absolute joke.

              • Definitely Vanilla was more fun, everything was new, you could spend hours shooting "fish in a barrel" for engrams if you wanted to. Nothing was nerfed and we could use the environment to our advantage on strikes and raids (use the sniper platforms on the Templar encounter and "push" clumsy Atheon off the platform). Pocket Infinity and Vex Mythoclast were beast weapons that everyone wanted. All my friends enjoyed playing daily, VoG was fun despite all the glitches. Scrambling to save up enough Strange coins so you could buy some fancy exotic from Xur. The original Queens Wrath event where legendary gear was thrown at you and you could dismantle it for ascendant shards and energies. Farming for mats on Patrol so you could upgrade your gear, or sell the mats to a quartermaster for crucible marks and reputation gains. Meeting Randel the Vandel for the first time and having your arse kicked for that original WTF moment. Coming across those ??? Hive Knights and seeing your weapons do no damage to them. Good times indeed. Then Bungie's meddling began. :'(

              • Destiny is fun and interesting between levels 1 and 20. It's a repetitive grind fest after that. There isn't enough loot, the end game activities get old fast, and bungie actively destroys anything that gives PvE players an advantage. It's addictive, but the carrot at the end of the stick is getting less and less appealing.

              • Their design to keep people addicted wasn't complimented with enough content to support that design. It will break soon.

              • No. Most games will have some diminishing returns. But instead of being able to focus on what Destiny does well, time just reveals its really faulty design. Never ditched a Bungie game as early after launch as I have with Destiny, but here we are.

But I just want to throw money at the screen after all these awesome nerfs and attempt to resell us the same content in TTK collectors edition.

              • No, nothing has changed.... Grind and grind and grind and yay I finally got all my favorite weapons; oh weapon balance 2.0; now I can't wait to break them all down! How is that fun?? Bungies a bunch of idiots that are now depending on 12 year olds to carry them through to their 10 year plan. Hey bungie... Most 12 year olds don't have jobs and careers, have fun with that, fcking idiots!

              • Not really. You still have to grind out boring content over and over with no matchmaking for gear that will be out classed in the next "Expansion". This game is a money sink.

Nope. Constant grinding, to then be forced to dismantle weapons and armor. Everything becomes a choir. Even finding players to do poe or too. Spamming of crappy weapons so loot is shit now. And no vault space to keep anything worth keeping. So more fun than what it was 10 months a go. NOPE NOPE NOPE

              • I say no...honestly i stop playing Destiny over a month ago but haven't gave up hope yet. I still hope for a turn around on Bungie's philosophy about Destiny. I was really hooked on Destiny since day one, but i realized that i was addicted to this game and didn't understood why. Having a wife and baby kid, working 10 hour shifts, first thing when getting home was firing up my Ps4 and login to Destiny and not paying attention to my family ...then i watched how Bungie used brain washing mechanics on the game to make players addicted..."WOW" i said" then everything was clear...that's one the most disgusting thing i ever seen. A game is supposed to be fun, bring joy and laugh to me and my friends...not making me get addicted to a carrot dangling in front a hamster wheel so you can make money. I have no hate for Destiny or Bungie at all, the way they implemented those mechanics in the game aiming to players brains on all ages its for a lack of a better word "disgusting"

                • I say yes, however I have somewhat mixed feelings. The fact that its held me on this long is extremely surprising tbh, it shows this game has a sense of length. Sure, the story was lacking, and some things could have been implemented better, but Bungie still created a game thats more fun than I've ever had. But right now, House of Wolves was somewhat of a letdown. I'm starting to feel like the dark below brought more fun to me, even though it was significantly less content, mainly because of the fact that getting loot was still interesting and exciting, even if it was legendary. House of Wolves took that away with its rerolling system, and now all I say is "oh cool, I got a decent weapon. I'll reroll it later, i guess, when I get more weapon parts..." But still, destiny is much more fun to me than it was before, with all of the people I've met, the challenges I can set for myself and my friends, and one last thing, if you don't have a group of friends in real life that play this game, get one. It makes this game 100x more fun than it is now.
