I really truly hope to see this game die. They don't deserve people's hard earned money. Ok some may say "I have 76,000hrs played, I got my money's worth" but even if you played a lot majority was repeating the same content in hopes to finish your weapon collection most likely. There are other games with so much more work, and effort put into them it's actually insane.
Destiny was released so unfinished that a year from release and it still doesn't even have volume sliders. People can hardly play crucible because of cheaters, lag, and error codes.
And on top of that they don't listen to the community. It's like they dropped a polished turd on us and said, hey "updates coming at a future time, go -blam!- yourself till then" the updates are always "oh we can't talk about them yet, but we will keep you posted, keep playing!"
I recently bought witcher 3 and inside the game was a thank you note from the company thanking me for investing my money into their game and having faith in their product. The games got more content before you reach level 10 then playing through every dlc of destiny. Oh and the first 16 dlc's are free.
Destiny's ten year plan has turned into the 2year dlc money grab before jumping ship.
Edit - oh and destiny doesn't even have a story, remember when you first get to the tower how the guy says "I could tell you all about the war and what happened... But I won't" what the hell is that.

Edited by Glacial Pace: 7/21/2015 1:20:37 PMBump! I played Destiny extensively for 8 months. I've done everything (except 9-0 trials) over and over again. Now that I'm playing a game like ESO, I understand what an MMO should be like. I will never go back to Destiny and I hope that others follow suit. Witcher 3 is an amazing game too btw. I highly recommend it to pretty much anyone.

Very well put!

The best dinklebot quotes are the "we know the legends", or "it all makes sense now". We don't know the legends. Nor does it make sense.

Bump that edit!

Edited by MrJDR: 7/20/2015 7:13:43 PMBump. You're so right. The repetitiveness of bungie and the rare chances of worthy reward per risk is what kills us, not unbalanced weapons. Let try and save what should have been this generations greatest game. It still can be a great trilogy is they listen and focus on what matters most. I have a few suggestions that are easy fixes for everyone's discontentment with Destiny. I feel the suggestions will reengage players, invest us back into the world, and reinstate the hopes and dreams for Destiny across the next nine years. If you can give it a look and tell me what you think I'd greatly appreciate it! It's called "3 ways Destiny can be 10x better today" https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/140178071/0/0

Lmao yeah that "guy" doesn't tell us shit. I was hoping for a good story or even a decent one from a game so overhyped. Bump

Exactly, You would assume he would give you some back story, or the game would give some kind of story along they way. But not really :/
-
Bump. For gamers, the best thing that could happen is that Bungie burns for their handling of Destiny and their treatment if this Community. This cannot become the norm for developers and publishers. I love Witcher III, and was moved by the Thank You note.

Crossing my fingers with you on that

Yep, it It was really refreshing. A company that actually put heart into their game, and cares about customer, oh and has a actual story too. Quality of games will continue to drop if games with as little content and work as destiny make profit.

Exactly. You nailed it.
