So I've just decided to main my bladedancer, and had some questions about the best armor for the bladedancer to utilize their skills the most. I love invisibility, using it to go capture objectives in PoE, or using it to heal allies.
I'm thinking of going with the Don't Touch Me exotic gloves to help with going invisible automatically when getting hit. Unless there's a better piece of exotic gear to help with the invisibility skill? Once I have my exotic chosen, what are the best legendary pieces of gear that you can get to help a bladedancer the most. I have a few etheric light, and am holding off on using them before I have the best gear for my character.
Thanks for any and all help!

For invisibility i usually just run Mask of The Third Man with vanish, shadowjack, escape artist, and stalker
-
Run the new hunter exotic gloves with gunslinger, invisible dude with throwing knives!!!
-
I like to balanced on the discipline, intell3ct and strength stat in any vlass but what really matters is the perks in your armor and weapons. Since any weapon and armor can be maxed, dmg and def stat dont matter anymore. Get perks that benefit your play style. I run gunslinger but for example i have: - exotic helmets for gunslinger (symbiote and nighthawk) as well as third man in case i switch to blade - gauntlets that improve reload speed of weapon of choice (mine is handcl cannon) - i have 2 chests, both give more ammo to hand cannons but one gives more ammo to shotgun and the other to sniper - boots are no discussion. Boots with more heavy ammo perk are obvious. Additionally, for helmets and gauntlets you can have some that improve melee speed for example or grenade throw distance or more super energy from killing minions etc

I'm all about the "Don't Touch Me". Invis on getting smacked has saved my ass more times than I care to remember. It also let's you blade dance things you normally wouldn't because you have an escape if you take a nasty melee. Of course my helmet has regen on orb pickup so I'm going to ascend that when I get the light. Third man looks great on paper, but once you learn to use showstopper or razor's edge at the right time you simply don't need the extra smacks imo. I haven't gotten the new gloves, and I'll certainly give them a try, but I love DTM for the survivability it gives my hunter.
-
You can use both subclasses as a main, just have two exotic helmets that help each one so you can swith easier
-
I use don't touch me a lot. Great for Crota raid. I also like knucklehead. It's great to always have your radar up. Very helpful for pvp.
-
Mask of 3rd
-
Don't touch me is very good for invisibility.
-
Take it from a very seasoned hunter use either mask of the third man or the new crouch for invis gloves Both are invaluable in certain situations as it essentially either gives you more super time or an extra perk

3 RepliesSGA: you can get precision kills with Blink Strike. Not joking, has happened before to me.

3 RepliesEdited by Born2bUnicorn: 5/27/2015 1:45:13 PMThe bladedancer is a beast in poe, at least imo. I personally run with max armor and agility. 200+ strength, 100+ intellect, little bit of discipline. I prefer these perks: Better control (double jump) Vanish Escape artist Shadow jack Stalker Armor wise i'd say don't touch me are a decent choice, though not always reliable. I think alpha lupi would be ideal because of the perk for reviving teammates. I equipped mask of the third man, which i enjoy a lot since i mainly use my super for mobility purposes. A few swipes of arc blade take you across the map to an important objective in no time. Keep in mind that this build trades firepower for survivability, so you might want to consider gunslinger for easy poe levels or in some cases for bosses. This build shines at sneaking past hoards of enemies to defuse mines or revive teammates and at getting out of sticky situations. Have fun :)

third man is best for PoE. sting is nice but it's really only if you choose to attack with BD and in pve that's almost never a smart move. Don't touch me's work better in crota's end but PoE not so much. You'd do better to plan your invisibility rather then rely on getting hit. On the other hand you really don't need third man either. I wear it because of the orb pick up for health regen. But you could get away with running crest of alpha lupi because third man has no effect on invisibility. and the quick revives for you and your friends are really helpful.

My BD pvp setup: Arc bolt grenade Blink Razors edge on arc blade Backstab on blink strike Quickdraw Hungering blade The stat increases on the other 2 slots are your choice. Loadout: The last word if you're good with it. If not use the thorn. Matador 64 or party crasher +1. Learn shotgun melee it's gonna be a main combo. Jolders hammer or against all odds. You wanna kill alot with this so don't choose a rocket launcher. Armor: Mask of the third man is the only requirement. Choose arms with hand cannon reload speed, a chest with shotgun ammo, and boots with hand cannon ammo for best results. Tip: Only scrubs play blade dancer if you were good you'd be playing gunslinger.

Edited by MootConstant975: 5/27/2015 10:10:05 PMMask Of The Third Man is great exotic helmet for Blade dancer, so if you can get that, you are set.
-
Agility build man! Max out your agility Get Mida Multi Tool Maxed Get Radiant Dance machines Then you will basically be a shadow! (I prefer to use my Super Invis perk rather than the crouching one)
-
If Xur ever sells the Pehrik's Sting Gauntlets/ engrams, buy them. They give you the stalker perk and a bit of damage from melee. For armor stats I would go for Str-Disc, as Arc Blade isn't very good in PvE. I assume you will go with Escape Artist, so you will want that up as often as possible, if you use the gauntlets I recommended, you can chose Hungering Blade.

1 ReplyEither don't touch me's or mask of the third man. I prefer the don't touch me's because they're pretty versatile but both are solid
-
Mask of the third man is my personal favorite for blade dancer
-
Get the don't touch me and the Crota armour.

4 RepliesEdited by TheFrozenInferno: 5/26/2015 11:30:12 PMAny Nightfall or PoE encounter with Lightswitch active will make the Don't Touch Me's a bad idea, but outside of that its a good backup if you happen to get swarmed. Take a hit or two and get the hell out of there and into cover. I don't depend on it though. Armor with a high strength stat is more important. You want your blink strike to regen as fast as possible, especially in PoE when you might not have the time or cover needed to safely crouch for long enough to go invis. Slap the enemy closest to you and get to cover that way. The armor Veriks has been selling so far has been all strength which is a Bladedancers dream. I bought the gloves last week and the chest this week which maxed out my strength stat. I run discipline on my other two armor pieces because I like to spam grenades, but you can aim for intellect instead and get your Vanish up more often. It depends on your play style. But strength should be #1 for a Bladedancer.

Edited by KimHasselager: 5/27/2015 12:36:24 PMwell to replace the gauntlets, you can just crouch for 5sec = invis.. idk what else to use, but seems like the gauntlets aren't that strong stat wise compared to other stuff.. E.g. the chest exotic can be much better :) - I got that old one with revive faster, carry more for hand cannon ( Running with hawkmoon ) When being a bladedancer..

Edited by TickleMyHuevos: 5/27/2015 8:24:50 AMMask of The Third Man Crest of Alpa Lupi
-
I use Alpha Lupi for PoE to revive asap as a medic I use Mask of the Third Man in PvP for mass slaughter I use Don't Touch Me gloves in lamps and only lamps.
-
I like the don't touch me gloves for the lamps but that's about the only time unless I decide to run gunslinger. Lucky raspberry extends your arc bolt grenade to make it chain to more enemies and hit a little harder

The best pieces for running blade dancer in PoE are as follows: mask of 3rd man Dont touch me gauntlets crest of alpha lupi Here are the best uses for each piece. 3rd man is for general use, its greatest strength is it allows airborne travel via arc blade slashes to consume less energy so you can get to objectives or teammates as fast as possible while conserving super energy for invisiblity. Dont touch me gauntlets are moderately useful on hive waves where there are lots of thrall, they can also be used on fallen and vex waves to a lesser degree. Avoid using them on cabal waves they have some one hit melee strikes (phalanx). Crest of alpha lupi is a good overall piece. It seems with the newest patch they have increased revive time making this a very useful exotic. Although on harder difficulties you still need to wait for 30 sec cool downs, its still worth it to be able to do a drive by revive when you are running for your life.
