When I'm in a bind during one of Destiny's many "oh crap" moments, the last thing on my mind is dancing. Rather, I'm taking cover wishing I had Gjallahorn armed instead of Suros. However going into the menu and arming a legendary so I can arm a different exotic is also just as a silly an option as dancing. I think you see where I'm going with this. Bungie. In the settings, give us a choice to use the D-pad for dancing or loadouts. Write some new code for an on-screen mini menu: up-for loadout A Left-for Loadout B Right-for ammo synth, etc. You get the point. I think this is the most reasonable request of all time. Save the dancing for the tower. Let us reign down hellfire during gameplay. Yeah? Help me sing it "I'm never gonna dance again, cause Bungie gave us the d-pad for loadouts" (It's a song, 12 year olds.)
