On Mosquitos and AIDS/HIV
So, I was doing my regular work today, being swarmed by mosquitos as usual, and then a thought struck me. Let's say I was HIV/AIDS positive, and one of the little buggers got away from my angry smush attempts, and then proceeded to go suck someone else's blood, would that person than contract my AIDS/HIV?
And if so, I wonder how many people have had the illness passed on to them from a mosquito?

1 Rispondi[url=http://www-rci.rutgers.edu/~insects/aids.htm]No.[/url] TL/DR: Mosquitos digest the HIV virus, and don't take enough blood to realistically transmit the virus, but that doesn't matter anyways because the blood that a mosquito has inside it doesn't come in contact with new blood it eats. Theoretically, if you ate a shit ton of mosquitos immediately after they bit someone with HIV, it could happen, but the odds of the scenario taking place are low enough to suggest that it has never happened.
