I'm a warlock main. My biggest issue with warlock jump is that we tend to hit our heads in low overhead spaces. I fall off edges, but I know it's my issue, not warlock. I typically use a balanced glide. Tips. When jumping, look where you're going. Most especially down when platforming. It slows/stops your forward momentum. It lets you finess the landing. As the jump progresses, change the direction of your gaze. Side to side or downwards as you move towards the platform. If it's a jump with a long drop (a lot of them in whisper), start your jump, tweak your direction briefly. Stop the jump and fall. Then, re initialize the jump as you get close to the platform. This gives you time with the jump energy to finess the landing. Practice. I've discovered you can get on all of the overhead beams in the shooting gallery. They're narrow, so you have to control the jump to land. I've started doing it before I do an activity with lots of jumping to get my eye and reactions synched up. I did a Kingsfall run last night and went to the Gallery prior. Only missed in KF twice; once I went to the wrong ship and once I bounced off a wall. Both my fault. Re Fire and Ice, look for places where you can avoid some of the jumping sections. There are a few ledges you can get to that help. Ie: before the tower where you go up with the blight boopers before the combat starts, there's a ledge around the corner from the typical path townwards. That ledge lets you jump in and miss almost all of the blight boops.
