in current modern gaming it set a new standard that we should hold devs to. everyone thinks underdelivery is the way to go. but look at older games that are still alive which are basically gonna continue for years to come that push their standards higher its quality over all else. an expansion should be far far far bigger than what we get from bungie thus we should hold them to a much higher standard especially with the release of bg3.especially since the first saga of destiny is ending it should be of the highest quality possible not just throw everything into eververse and call it a day. destiny is a fpslootershooter mmo technically. something that should have the highest quality content to actually keep its players. what it floats with currently is nothing compared to what it should be keeping.

the standard im talking about is games like ff14 and baldurs gate 3 shouldnt be anomalies they should be the standard of care from developers going forward. baldurs gate 3 placed a new standard of an amazing game, no microtransactions needed and it survives on its own(likely theyll expand on the game as well with how well its doing). developers of destiny and many other studios need to meet these quality standards each time they release something. would you like to see millions of players flock to destiny 2 again? would you like to see the game breathed with fresh blood that sticks around? then we need to hold devs to these games standards and teach them under delivery is not an option anymore.

its realistic to expect that a company should pump out high quality gaming experiences thats how you make money. the better the experience the better the bottom line will be.
