I don't think it has anything to do with constellations either. I think it might be a double-slit light experiment. So my wild theory is... Telesto is operating in dual states which is why it's called Shordingers Gun. It's a riff on quantum mechanics and the superposition or ( dual states of the Shordinger's cat ) of quantum matter. The second function of Telesto is shooting light particles. At a quantum level light behaves as both a wave and a particle, which was discovered through the double slit light expirment. So it possible that we need to find an area of the map where we can shoot the gun through a double slit which could reveal a location. Maybe it's just a fun animation to troll us, who knows.
