You can only complete the Variks Loyal lore book on a week such as this one, so go do your public events/lost sectors/heroic adventures.
I myself just unlocked the 7 pages I needed in half an hour by running kingship dock lost sector back to back.

Yeah, I was waiting to do the machinist heroic while on rotation and the mission never came for me or I missed then it appeared in the daily heroic and I was able to find the hidden ghost I was missing that way.
