I ran a warmind cell build that blinds enemies and reduces the damage you take. It was so effective the players I were doing it with were amazed at how trivial all the adds were using this build. Is this build needed to complete the nightfall? No. Does it make it much easier to do so? Most definitely.

It saddens me that tyrants surge will go away soon. Then you'd have to kill an enemy with warmind weapons and have an RNG cell drop where you need it. Which is why i am farming some good rolls. Quickdraw/vorpal shotty.(have this) Field prep /vorpal MG.(need this still) Any recomended rolls for warmind guns?

I farmed drop mag, ambition assassin, multi kill clip and drop mag, 4th time’s a charm, vorpal for the handcannon. I like the first roll better and it’s very fun in lower end stuff but not sure how much it will hold up in higher end things. Shotty I’m using auto loading / trench barrel and auto loading / vorpal. LMG I have extended mag / auto loading / vorpal and the same roll but with firing line. The auto and SMG I’m not too fussed about personally. I hope next season’s artifact has some way of creating them also.

The HC with delayed payload is good in normal level content too. Delayed payload = no damage falloff.

Okay, so we have one build that can be used in GM Nightfalls, where are the other 10+? Where are the exclusive changes to GM Nightfalls that aren't just "Make enemy tanky and you squishy?" Cause for looter shooters/MMOs... that's nowhere near enough. The limited revives... cool. But that's it. Throwing champions at the screen that blantantly limit your options for weapon loadouts is not a healthy change. Where is the strike changes exlusive to GM? Do the Boss's at the end change up and use exclusive attacks/mechanics to challenge the players? Are there encounters that force your team to have a well oiled build for each one (not just exotics, I mean mod builds) that you would never see in any other activity that isn't just "throw lots of champions at the screen"? I'm just asking for the bare minimum requirements here... expectations as it were when it comes to this.

I totally agree that I’d like the mechanics to be different and I’m not a massive fan of power deltas and negative modifiers as a means to make something more difficult. I was just saying that builds defiantly get highlighted here and I just made this one up I’m using, I’m sure there are some more warmind cell builds as well as charged with light builds that make the activity easier. My other concern is the idea that the completion of a certain thing is a reward in itself. Whether it is going flawless or doing a grandmaster, you don’t really get anything more other than a title (eventually). I do think players can find a bigger reward than loot by completing certain things but this is subjective to every player. We should always have unique loot for completing these ‘pinnacle’ feats and for both of these activities to launch without it is a massive and almost unjustifiable oversight from Bungie.
