Hunters are scavengers, their armour is made to look like bits or other armours all put together.
They take things and make it their own aka Blink.
A hunter wielding a weapon not designed to be gifted to them is understandable.

That is true. I forgot which came first the warlocks or Titans but the hunters came last. They were originally humans who started training and fighting the darkness and soon where guardians. Think of hunters as If there in an alpha state. There new guardians still fitting in with the older ones
