Until we get an official story on what happened during that last year of development, we honestly won't know. There was obvious overreach somewhere that caused contention with Joe and Marty that was so bad it caused them to leave. But as fun as theories are, I want to see the truth come forth.

We will never hear an objective version of the complete story. There is evidence of a power struggle within Bungie, though, and the faction that wanted the Destiny that we were promised lost.

Yep, and at the end of the day, what we got is the only thing that matters. So we have to figure out how to make the best out of the turd we were given.
