That was a small amount of engrams for 30 minutes worth. The OG loot cave could cook up that many engrams in 5 minutes. People who shunned it as a waste of time are crazy. The struggle was way too real to get past 25-27 when the game first came out. I got more legendary engrams here than all of my other activities combined. There was actually a better place for legendary engrams than the loot cave, though. I dunno how many people were aware of it cause it got patched almost right away; that's how good it was. It was discovered a few weeks before the loot cave. It was on Mars where you got dropped in at where the vex & cabal are fighting. All you had to do was run a loop for the chests because those chests were bugged to drop legendary engrams at a ridiculous rate.
