Just for the those who don't know this is caused when your sword carrier is just inside of crotas melee range when he stands back up. Crota ends up trying to hit you but gets stuck in the animation of closing the gap because your sword guy was likely in the process of running away at the time and moved outside of crotas range. Crota doesn't just say "Screw you guardians" and proceed to chase you all over the map like so many believe.. Make sure the timing on crota is consistent so you don't end up trying to get more hits than you have time for and this probably won't happen.
