I'm so sick of crotas AI, its such shit. The more and more I play this raid on hard the more I hate it. The run you do end up beating him, is the one when the AI or game doesn't screw you.

It's not just crota. The whole game just loves playing jokes. Started up the nightfall today and before I could go up the stairs into the first room one of the 2 reever captains who wield swords randomly spawned infront of me and smacked me before retreating all the way back.

As soon as I get all weapons from Hard im done with this raid. I got the Gjallarhorn now too so the exotic reward can -blam!- off

Abyss defiant, black hammer, and hunger of crota are great, lucky most drop on normal. Abyss defiant drops at the bridge

Well I already did it 20+ times on normal and I just cant get them. Ill just run on hard and hope I get them from Crota. However I dont really want either for outside of the raid. Auto rifle looks great though

note: Black hammer ONLY DROPS AT CROTA ON NORMAL MODE. You cannot get it on Hard. Im in the same boat.

So it doesnt give double drops ? But then basically I have to run normal first and then hard to get the rewards right ?

Black hammer is not on the loot table for hard mode.. Yes in Hard mode you get double drops, but that second chance drop at crota will not be black hammer. So to answer your question, if you specifically are trying to get Black Hammer my advice is to find a crota check point on normal. Beat that, and then do all parts of the raid on Hard mode. You will only have 1 drop at Crota for hard however. Hope this helps.

Yep. Today we tried a bunch of times and for some reason, on the last crota take down, his shield would just regenerate. 5 ghorns and primaries could not drop his shield. So were like OK, let's just have the sword bearer take his time and wait for him to crouch so we can make sure we finish it. Go through everything again, get to the last sword, 5 ghorns and primaries, crota kneels, sword carrier runs up, shield regens to 20%, HE STANDS BACK UP, kills sword carrier, wipe. Were all like wtf. Its pathetic. Were doing everything perfect and the AI screws us. I've already beat it. I honestly don't care for the nechrocasm, I'm done with this raid lol.

I was just having an issue where crota did his stomp me as he's standing up thing. Went out to orbit and came back down. Dropped him in 2 swords first run. I really feel it's all lag and bad programming.

Good luck. I say I'm done now because of how frustrated I am, but I'll be back at it tomorrow lol. This game is like crack. I dont even know why I play it.
