This! But at least he's tried to explain it considerably more than bungie/activision have.
What he has written actually makes up some sort of story and shows some form of order.
After playing the game for what feels like an eternity and having not read the grimoire I couldn't tell you WTF is going on or why I have committed genocide multiple times on multiple planets........ Or even what the end result was??

OK, so why was the ambiguous ending of Mass Effect 3 was an outrage yet gamers seem to think that Destiny has a story?

I think because mass effects entire story from 1-3 was told so well so everyone was disappointed with the poor ending. And I believe destiny HAD ( when they started to develop it) a story not has a story because it clearly has NO story as the lead writer quit before they could finish. I believe this just resulted in them hashing together whatever they had in the quickest order they could find. End result = toilet Lots of people killing enemies for no real reason or understanding.
