I know this is a bit of a late thread, but I kept on forgetting to make it. Post your thoughts down below, if you wish.

 • People have the right to say what they want. However when you say or do something that crosses a line you should be prepared for backlash. Unfortunately in this case the backlash was bullets. I also feel like I should point something out and ask a question. From what I understand Charlie Hebdo had drawn quite a few offensive pictures of Mohammed, which in Muslim culture is wrong or a sin (sorry if that's not the right name or religion). What if they had drawn a controversial image of God or Jesus? Would people still have felt the same way about their right for freedom of speech? I very much doubt it. People would have petitioned and made a fuss until someone with power made them change it. I'm not trying to make what the monsters did acceptable, but I very much doubt the Muslim community would have been able to change it as easily as Christians would be able to. And now because of these terrorists Muslims will have a much harder time having something changed through political means that does cross that line. Now that I think about it, does anyone know if anyone complained about the previous pictures? I'd really like to know.
This wasn't meant to offend or upset anyone. I used Christianity and God as examples because of it's popularity in North America.
