In going by what the OP said, you can speculate that she helped out but these types of relationships are not uncommon. The man wanted to play his video games with the little free time he had. Free time as in time where he wasn't at work and he wasn't doing anything with his gf. Quit being a white knight because chicks think it's weird. Fedoras aren't cool either.
