Break Up and Keep Playing or ... NEED ADVICE
So my girlfriend gets pissed when I come home from work and play until I gotta go to work the next morning... So I don't sleep anymore at all, I really don't wanna miss out on any Loot, so I spend all my hours spare grinding Phogoth strike over and over... But I need advice she seems pretty pissed lately and acting as if I must choose between her and work or Destiny! It's pretty selfish of her IMO. I don't know if to break up with my girlfriend or give up playing for a few months....
Please reply with some advice fellow Guardians!

Man...your level 32. You don't need to be grinding at all. Only days you should be grinding is Tuesday to knock out the raid, nightfall and weekly.

1 RispondiA video game should not jeopardize your health or relationships with friends, family, or significant other. It's just a game. It's not real and nothing you do in it will matter in less than a year. She's a real person with real feelings. If you won't give her the attention she needs, somebody else will. If you can be okay with throwing away a person who cares about you for a video game, especially one so clearly plagued by lies, false advertisement, and giving you less for your money than any other game has in recent history, then let her leave. I think about Destiny like this: Destiny sounds like a stripper name and like a stripper, Destiny will take your money, but never let you f-ck her. A girlfriend or wife will suck and f-ck you for free.

It sounds like you've gotten into an unhealthy habit there. Speaking as a guy who have tried a lifestyle similar to this, it will damage not only your own health but your relations to other people. From what you write in your post, your girlfriend is genuinely worried about you. The least you should do is put down the controller, switch off the tv and talk about it. If you think she is being unreasonable, ask why she feels that way. Maybe you discover that your girlfriend will be understanding and accept you spending a few hours playing each night, as long as you spend some time with her too. Just a friendly tip: people around you notice changes in your behavior. Much more so than you do yourself. And when you play a videogame day and night, every free hour of your day, you eventually change a lot. So if people around you start to sound worried about you, it's time to take a critical look at yourself and the choices you make.

I have a Mrs and 2 kids at home. Just balance your time, I spend a few hours with them after work, then play. Don't ignore the woman who loves you for a game, there's 24 hours in a day, just give her a few of them

Most important thing in life is your self. Before people start saying what about family blah blah blah. With out good health or being alive you could not experience or enjoy other things. I say take care of your sleeping habit first. You need to sleep. Your body will slowly shut down (maybe in a harmful way) and you will pass out with no choice. Your body will give up. From this point I'd give games a break but you should keep your job. I doubt your girlfriend is upset about [b][i]just[/i][/b] the job but probsbly like you mention the job/game combo. As tough as you think you might be, or how much or how long you can do things alone, you will need a companion. Life brings them into our lives everyday but the importsnt ones are the ones that stick. If you have feelings for this girl tell her how you feel, what your going through and that maybe she can help you out. Chances are your girl is feeling neglected and unloved based on the fact that you spend 50% of your time working and 50% or your time playing games. Everything in moderation my friend. Best wishes.

Drop the game, it's a fluke anyways. People are what's real,..not the train wreck of a game. Man trust me, when you finally get that 31, when you finally get that story done, when you finally beat the raid,....you'll realize guess what? I have nothing notable to even show for the efforts, it just sends you right back onto the hamster wheel. Plus destiny doesn't give blow jobs.
