I don't know if you all have had this issue in the past, I know I did. Which is why I rarely venture into Iron Banner matchmaking without teammates anymore. What you honestly need to discuss is not getting on these forums and trying to find teammates, but finding a website designed around helping you find teammates in real time. Enter Destinylfg.com Probably one of the easiest ways for me to point out what a good community developer does with the internet and some free time. Destinylfg.com is NOT just a raid, strike, and flawless raider achievement finder. It is a teammate finder for all sorts of things INCLUDING Iron Banner. It works simply enough. Go here: http://www.destinylfg.com/ Click the Console tab and select your platform. Choose your appropriate language in the next tab over. Select what you would like from the drop down menu and scroll all the way down to see permanent PvP slots for PvP 3 team (skirmish, salvage basically), 6-man teams (Control, clash basically) or just the special event Iron Banner at the top. Once you find someone you want to play with, you click on the gamertag and it takes you to their corresponding profile where you can send them a live message which goes straight to their in-game inbox. I typically have a pre-selected message like: "Saw your post on Destinylfg.com, 31 Titan Striker, if you have a spare slot still. Send an invite." Quick, easy, and it tells everything a normal person should be able to know. Titan striker is the FoH guy, light level 31, and they know that Destinylfg.com is actually working in their favor. So how else do you all get teammates? I normally have a full team for raids, strikes, ect. within a couple of minutes.
