Mass Effect and Destiny aren't really comparable. Neither have had equivalent time to develop and evolve, they're different genres (ME being an RPG with some cover shooting, and Destiny being an FPS with a few RPG/MMO elements thrown into the mix), and they focus on different things. Mass Effect is a story, a journey. Destiny is a shooter, through and through. It's like comparing a Shark to a Tiger. Sure, they're both predators, but they're adapted for different environments and have evolved to hunt different things.
