Glitch 3 Crota forever kneeling players can be banned
Modification or interruption of Destiny network traffic with intent to disrupt other players’ experiences or to gain advantage in the game
http://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/11929 leaving the game is a interruption of Destiny's network traffic for a player to gain an advantage, so far i have not heard of any players being banned for doing this players can be banned.

  • I think this more refers to the crucible aspect. Really the only way they would be able to track it is by people reporting other people, which doesn't happen when you get free loot with a group of friends.

  • They can't ban these players. They have no way to tell apart/prove the ones that cut the connection to those that happened to actually lose the connection.

  • Doesn't Bungee have better things to do than banning players for disconnecting from the raid and signing back in?

  • Open for discussion. Wording is not 100% clear. That being said Bungie can ban any player at anytime for any reason. It's their game and they hold that right. Network minipulation bans usually only happen when you use it against other players (lag switching as an example) Since everyone in a raid is working together for a common goal it may not be the same thing. Hence why I said wording is a little grey. Bungie also wouldn't be able to tell if someone is directly leaving or if they happened to lag out or have a problem with their game/system. As far as i'm aware anyway.

Thats a great point players dropping out leading to potential bans and suspensions is way to broard unless its network maniuplation to disrupt other players and its also a pretty bad move if they do attack their players with account suspensions and bans because so many players have cheesed crota (i have done this to) it would be better if they find a way to just patch it but if that patch was easy to fix it most likely would of been patched by now

  • Bungie is not typically the kind of company I know to just hand out bans. They probably realize that a sizable chunk of their players have cheesed at least once. So banning a huge piece wouldn't help. Also I'm sure the patch that will fix exploits/ bugs in the raid will be dropped either the week hard mode is dropped or the week before.
