Not much is known about the cabal, and I doubt we'll know much until earliest September 2015 and latest January 2016. I think that because of the previews of dlc if you were lucky enough to see it before it got taken down by ninja justice. Here's what I know about them: They are a military force that should be feared. I feel that the jokes about how they can't be a military force is inaccurate. If you were to pit cabal against any type of enemy other than us or the vex, I have no doubt that they would wipe them out easily. Yes their tactics are ridiculous, but even though singularly they are easy to defeat in against a true army without our special powers from the traveler we'd be screwed. Besides the Psions every attack from a cabal is not only solar damage, but is a rocket or type of explosive slug. Also with the exception of special cases the only shielded cabal is the centurion. I feel a future dlc which will remain unnamed will feature them more exclusively as they push past the vex on mars and make their way closer to home. We could probably expect a new enemy type such as a "titan" which will feature more of a supernatural power.
