TDYK Replacement
Edit: everyone seems to agree on TFWPJY 1969 from the Crucible Quartermaster or Timur's Lash from Iron Banner. Here's to hoping RNGesus gives me Timur's Lash so I can have both!
Let me start off by saying I love TDYK, it was my first legendary hand cannon, the first legendary I've ever maxed, and I've taken it with me everywhere.
With the updated damage and a lack of upgrading legendaries, I need help choosing a new hand cannon before I start the new raid.
What is the best choice out of the vendors?
I don't think I'll get TDYD because of the stats, and I liked the Crucible Quartermaster's HC (I don't remember the name), but I would like to see other peoples opinion before I try ranking up crucible for a commendation before the weekend.
Also, I heard ranking up a faction gives a crucible commendation, is this true?
TL;DR: What's the best vendor HC?

It's an absolute beast. Also have Timurs lash with zen moment. Field scout and feeding frenzy. For me personally still going to stick with TDYK. Timurs lash the rate of fire is so slow. My TDYK has the range and accuracy of a sniper. Very accurate and the crowd control makes all the difference. Once you get the first hit in the bonus damage is stunning.

1 RispondiI'm with u on this one! I love my lord high fixer, it's by far my favourite gun. The new devil is a joke as it has only 5 rounds(!?) wtf! The new crucible one doesn't really strike me and it's sure very ugly! I'm really hoping for the hawkmoon or the IB one cause all the vendor ones are not a propper replacement for The Lord...

5 RisposteWhile it may not be a great answer, try getting the new Timurs Lash from Iron Banner tomorrow. It will have any stats you want and the highest impact of any cannon. Bit better range to TDYK but slower fire rate/reload.

I got one from the postmaster package the day of the dlc that was decent, the impact is the only glaring difference but it feels like the impact is strong. It's weird. Using both of them, it's very hard to tell them apart despite the different looking stats.

5 RisposteThe Crucible Hand Cannon TFWPKY 1969 is second on my vendor gear wish list (I never got Vanquisher VIII, so I'm currently working towards that jam). It's perks are pretty complimentary (Return to Sender AND Mulligan? Yes, please) and it has almost identical baseline stats to TDYK. I honestly don't know why TDYD even exists, it seems pretty terrible, even if you rolled one with Field Scout. The FWC vendor also has a hand cannon that's baseline is similar to TDYK, but if you're gonna go the Crucible marks path, I'd stick with the Crucible Vendor. I'm gonna be spending a lot of frustrating time in IB hoping for a Timur's Lash drop, or better yet, hoping he sells it. After that, I'll probably start working towards TFWPKY.

I have maxed out TFWPKY 1969. Previously I was using lord high fixer (have also tdyk maxed out) - because of ammo perk - over 100 - on tdyk I had about 80. I bought my TFWPKY 1969 from vendor so I have return to sender and mulligan. Standard it's 10 magazine, you can upgrade it to 13 with field scout perk. In practice I noticed that i have 14-15 shots per magazine, till it runs dry. So it's really good 4 hc. To your second question - yes U get Commendation from fraction level.

I pulled a TDYD from an engram that came with field scout, luck in the chamber, and clown cartridge. Might be worth leveling up.

1 RispondiPersonally I don't like either the crucible or vanguard hand cannons right now, but if I had to I'd go with the crucible (don't remember what it's called). TDYK was good and I still have it. I got a crucible commendation from ranking up Dead Orbit last night, so yes.
