Factions Armor is Pointless
Can someone explain to me, If the only way to get to lvl 30 is having Raid gear or the latest iron banner gear mixed with 1 exotic armor....What the hell is the point of spending hard earned marks at the vangaurd, dead orbit, monarchy, or FWC factions? Those only have max 27 light. It's really frustrating spending all that time leveling up just find out "Oh it's not that one, it's this one which you can only get here." So when the level cap is 32 I assume the "New" Raid armor from Crota's end will be the only way to level up? Bye bye old Raid gear, now grind out another 20 hours to level up this new set...ARRRGGHHH!

It's not pointless, you need to be a level 29 to do the hard raid or you're going to have a hard time finding people to do the hard raid with. And yes you can get to level 29 without raid gear.

What is very apparent, is the ignorance embedded in that decision. If an item cannot help you reach Light level 32, what is the point in purchasing said item?

Well...you can get to 29 with it. Which means you can do the hard raid currently. If you grind the normal on pretty much all blues, which is somewhere around 27...you might be able to get the full set of raid gear without having gotten vendor gear.
