I have a bunch of exotic gear and weapons I was waiting to upgrade, I always wait to fully upgrade things till I know it will be a weapon I need for certain things or it's just a beast...I really regret waiting now. I could have probably maxed out half of them and now I can't max out a single one. I don't mind this "-1 exotic for max exotic" trade-off but I do wish they gave us a heads up.
