Character Transfer to Destiny 2
It kills me knowing there's a possibility that 2 years from now, the thousands of hours I'll have on this game will be gone to waste because Bungie won't allow character transfer. I know you want it to be fair for new comers but come on... It could all be so simple.
For the campaign? There's already Normal, & Hard campaign mission modes. How about adding one more?? How it would work? Example.
Say Destiny 2 released tomorrow. The level 30s that would like to transfer their character over could play destiny 2s campaign on the legend difficulty which is level 28 or something. And the level 26s could play on heroic which is 24 and so on.
I, along with thousands of others have spent countless hours on the game. Just don't want that to go to waste. As far as the armor and weapons... I'm not sure lol. Surely the level cap should be a lot higher than 30. 60? Perhaps? Along with the ability to "prestige"? So many options you guys can explore. Just try to make it happen please. Love the game, in the midst of all its flaws. Still has great potential. Keep up the work.

Excuse the scatter brained thoughts. It's 2am and I can't sleep, and I have work in an hour lol. You guys understand what I'm pushing for. Character transfer, higher level cap.
Also, how do you guys feel about ranks or prestige ranks. Just throwing ideas out there
Prestige 1 = The Enlightened
Prestige 2 = ( idk lmao )
Prestige 3 = Legend
Ok lol I'm getting a lot of the same replies. Guys I want to know if my armor, weapons, abilities and such will fall over into destiny 2. At the end of destiny 1 we might reach level 40, or whatever. If my character transfers but all progress was lost ( faction ranks, vanguard / crucible, items, armor, weapons, abilities etc) are either not transferable or severely outdated then what's the point? That's what I want to know. My fault for not making that clear. "Character transfer" can simply mean your bald awoken hunter male is the character you play with in destiny 2. Who knows. Destiny has been quite misleading up to now.

I have been playing since year one,and I still play we need to get character transfer I can't start over please I can't let my precious items and character go, they state it won't be fair for new players,oh yeah was it funny when I didn't get to grind the game while everyone else did,was it fair when I got shot up in crucible by suros regime when it was OP and I didn't have one,or how I didn't get to raid just because I didn't have a gjallahorn or people get to the lighthouse just because they know people who were good,and how now I have to luckily get the thorn quest even though I did the long depressing 2-3 week long one that is much harder than the newer one.You see if all that happened don't talk about fair,I don't like that I'm rude but it would not be an appropriate move for us who have stayed with purchasing your content and staying through dry periods the people who played your game over others,once again sorry that I'm rude but I'd like all my data please. My suggestion is to let us keep our gear but lower its effectiveness as we are in a new area and we have to learn to adapt to the new environment and make our past weapons obsolete to the new threats.

Why the -blam!- wouldn't they let us transfer character? Just have same -blam!-ing option as Dragon Age!! Seriously, they will probably release the same -blam!-ing game and then let us do everything all over again with slightly different maps, but still 90% of the time pass the same map...

1 RispondiNo prestige because this is not CoD. If they Don't allow character transfer to Destiny 2 then I am pretty sure you will get a reward for having played this Destiny, seeing as most games that have a sequal usually give a gift to those with save data from the previous titles.

I think tht it would stay consistent with the fact thay warcraf is made up of multiple games essentially and the level cap just continually increases everytime.

1 RispondiPersonally I hope there ISN'T character transfer. The base for Destiny 1 was fairly wonky. If they want to fix it they really need to start from scratch to be honest. The dlc will add some stuff and it might get better, but I'd definitely want Destiny 2 to be a fresh start. The Destiny game we wanted and the Destiny game we deserved.

5 RisposteWhere do people read this idea? Or hear of it? Your Guardian will last throughout all 10 years. Bungie has said this is a story, and you will stay with your Guardian through it all. As for Destiny two, I believe it'll be more of a patch update for the game, so that Earth, the Moon, Mars and Venus will still be there, along with newly added Planets and Moons. So again, you will always have your character, unless you delete it.

Just so you know, Destiny is a 10 year project that will allow our Guardians to [i]Become Legend[/i]. I'm pretty sure they wouldn't want us to depart from the characters we've just spent two years making special.. That would mean people stay on Destiny 1 and they'd lose half their fanbase instantly.. It makes more sense to have them transfer over (from a marketing perspective).

I'm assuming, what happened on guild wars the game I previously played will happen. People with certain achievements got unique gear, say people that had completed the VoG on hm, got a cool shader in destiny 2, shit like that.
