People are way too hung up on whether or not exotics should be harder to acquire, they fail to realize that Legendary weapons are a lot harder to get. It's much easier running nightfall and the weekly to get enough coins to buy an exotic, and way less time consuming than maxing vanguard marks for the week and a half it takes to buy a legendary. Also, there are a lot of Legendary weapons you can only get though RNG, and many outclass their exotic counterparts as well. Why are people so fixated on the abundance of exotics instead a of enjoying that rare legendary you have and know that others can't buy?
