It's more of a PvP playlist kind of thing. You would only be allowed to use weapons, nothing else. Either only allowed one weapon (say everyone has an Auto rifle or everyone has a shotgun) or only allowed one set of weapons (Auto rifle, fusion rifle, rocket launcher). That way everyone is using the same weapons, it all comes down to skill (marginally the weapons they have) and you can get in some practice with a weapon that you usually may not want to use in the crucible. Of course if it's the one weapon option and the weapon choice is a special or heavy, then there will need to be something to sort out the ammo.
