The soft cap isn't the problem. The problem is that most people will have level 30s by the time the next Iron Banner comes around. Nobody will notice the advantages their gear is giving them. It will be a fair playing field, just like crucible. Iron Banner was a cool idea because everyone got a chance to try. Running into low level players was inevitable. Everyone is complaining that levels didn't matter in Iron banner. If everyone is the same level, they still wont. A cap of any kind kills the idea of Iron Banner.
