That about sums up what happens with buffs and nerfs. If you overdo it, it throws off the balance. If you don't do it enough people complain. I for one like the game. I can get upset a few times with "what the heck!" moments. But in the end you were just outplayed. As a sidenote, I completely love the throwing knife and honestly miss using it. I had everything maxed out for dual throwing knifes and a reset on critical hit kills (which is easier than it sounds). The range of the knife made it so you didn't have to bother to get within shotgun range, therefore arguably being the best melee in the game. But that's just me.
